Häfele introduces the anti-Corona door handle adapter

In the fight against the spread of the Covid-19 virus, Häfele is introducing a door handle adapter that allows a door to be opened without direct hand contact.

Opening without hand contact

When using the door handle adapter, it is possible to open and close doors with the forearm. Since the door handle is now not touched by hand, this reduces contact infections.

Application

The door handle adapter is made of black plastic and suitable for attaching to door handles with a diameter of approximately 18 to 25 mm.

Note: the attachment of the adapter is not suitable for emergency and panic doors, nor for fire-resistant and smoke-resistant doors. Where other specific standards and specifications exist, these must always be observed.

Assembly

The adapter is easily attached óm the door handle using the screws and sleeves provided.

Orderable

The door handle adapters can be ordered separately via the Häfele part number 909.59.400. One adapter is required per door handle. Please note that in most cases two pieces are required per door.
