'Simplifying Construction, Maintenance & Repair'

Windows, doors and gates are often the calling card of a home or other building. It is therefore important that they are in tip-top shape not only when installed but for many years afterwards. Novatio has been developing and providing solutions for the assembly, cleaning and repair of windows, doors and gates since 1978.

They are used by manufacturers in production, but also by individuals for maintenance. The company from Olen now has a wide range of products: lubricants, surface treatment, cleaning agents, bonding products. The professional can also go there for complete maintenance boxes, personalized or not.

At Novatio, the focus is on the care and aftercare of windows and doors, sectional doors, awnings, patio covers, .... The Belgian family business has become an international player with today about a hundred employees, active in 28 countries, offering innovative solutions and concepts for maintenance and repair in construction, but also in industry and the automotive sector.

"With a team of technical consultants, we focus specifically on the windows and doors sector. We listen to market demands and convert those needs into a specific product. This does not involve mass production, but we look for specific solutions within a particular product group. To this end, we have our own R&D department and scientific lab in Olen, which is continuously working on optimizing existing products and developing new, innovative solutions," says brand manager Geert Vanlommel.

"In some cases, it is also necessary to combine different products, whether in a certain order or not, to obtain optimal results. Deep Cleaning, for example, is used as a preparation in the cleaning and bonding process. Indeed, perfect bonding requires perfect contact of the adhesive with the surfaces of the materials to be bonded. For this purpose, it is first of all important to remove visible layers of dust and dirt with a water-based cleaning agent and then to soak and dissolve organic non-polar contamination in order to finally remove the remaining micro-contamination.  
For each stage, we offer a quality solution with the FA Clean, the Safety Clean and the Multifoam, respectively."

Maintenance boxes

Novatio now offers a complete range of products for use during the preparation of the bonding process, during the production and assembly of windows and doors as well as for maintenance and repair. Seal & Bond Sealtrans, for example, is a semi-transparent water and windproof sealant for mitre joints. In combination with Special Primer, this product has strong adhesion to textured paints and other coatings that are difficult to bond. Surface Renewer revalues surfaces and brings back the intensity of the original color. This product protects against weathering and provides long-term nutrition to paints and plastics.

"Together with our customers, we also developed maintenance boxes for aluminum and PVC windows, doors, gates and patio covers. Those Maintenance boxes consist of products for cleaning and protection. They exist in three versions: Alubox-
Basic, Alubox-Plus, and PVCbox. The boxes are used on the shop floor by manufacturers, such as Reynaers, Stobag, Harol, and many others. However, they also offer them to their distributors, who in turn sell them to the end customer. In this way, the contact between end customer and installer always remains, often leading to working with the same installer for future investments," says Mano Geuns, sales manager at Novatio. "After all, we get more and more requests to personalize those boxes. This ranges from filling out the box to designing our own 'private label' packaging with visual and logo."

Scoop at Polyclose

Novatio has been an established player in Belgium for years and is now focusing more and more on the Dutch market, which does require a different approach. The specialist also continues to invest continuously in innovative products. At Polyclose, for example, they will present an adhesive and sealant that also cures at temperatures below zero, allowing people to continue working at any time on the building site and in the workshop.
Novatio is further focusing on other countries in Europe and will therefore also participate in the upcoming edition of Fensterbau Frontale in Nuremberg, Germany.
