So how do you create individual rooms that don't feel confined? With dormakaba's Uniquin system, you can do so in the most efficient and aesthetically pleasing way.

Uniquin consists of a combination of profiles, hardware and locking systems, which can be used to create partitions and passages. Suitable for separation elements of glass, wood or other materials with a maximum thickness of 19 mm, the most beautiful partitions between spaces can be created.

Durable aluminum construction

Uniquin's aluminum profiles have an elegant and durable surface structure, thanks to the special powder coating in graphite color. Durability is guaranteed, thanks to the long service life and the fact that aluminum is perfectly recyclable. In principle, Uniquin profile can accommodate any panel made of glass (safety glass, laminated double safety glass), wood, plastic or any other material, provided it is no thicker than 19 mm. So it is up to the user to decide whether the wall should offer transparency or not and what atmosphere is evoked.

dormakaba also provides custom acoustic modules, which can be used to create a pleasant atmosphere that goes hand in hand with a piece of functionality. For example, a music or TV room can be acoustically isolated. An office meeting room can be soundproofed in this way, which increases privacy. Even with the use of glass there is already sound insulation, thanks to the indirect attachment of the glass plate. Depending on the version, sound protection of up to 40 dB can be achieved.

Fixed walls or with a passageway

Within the Uniquin program there is a profile available with which doors can be made in a wall. Think of a combination of sliding doors (single or double) and single action doors (stop doors) in standard height or room height. Uniquin profile can also be used to make doors in masonry. The maximum weight of a swing door is 130 kg, of a sliding door 100 kg. The maximum door dimensions: a swing door may be up to 1100 mm wide X 2950 mm high. A sliding door maximum 2000 mm wide X 3000 mm high.

For enhanced security, dormakaba has numerous access control systems available that can be used in conjunction with the Uniquin system. Also convenient: the integrated cable fixing device in the profiles, for power supply.
