Cortizo, an international leader in aluminum and plastic systems for architecture, presents the new minimalist sliding system Cor Vision Evolution. The system builds on the minimalism of its predecessor, the Cor Vision, and incorporates innovations that improve performance and simplify production.

Cortizo reinforces its commitment to minimalism with the new Cor Vision Evolution, a sliding system that offers an infinite view thanks to a 25 mm locking system and includes important developments over its predecessor, the Cor Vision. With a view to advanced finishing, the multinational facilitates the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces by offering the possibility of incorporating the sashes on the side. This is possible thanks to a new side locking solution that activates the opening of the window with a smooth semi-circular turn. The system also features a built-in locking solution on the latch that is not visible from the front.
In addition to its excellent aesthetics, Cor Vision Evolution stands out for its performance, surpassing that of its predecessor thanks to its Uw transmittance value starting from 0.88 W/m²K. This value is enhanced by a glazing capacity of up to 44 mm (allowing the installation of triple glazing) and 45 mm of polyamides in the frames and 38 mm of polyamides in the sashes. The system also represents an evolution in terms of dimensions, as it has sashes with a width and height of up to 3.5 m and a weight of up to 500 kg, surpassing the dimensions of its predecessor, 2.5 m wide, 3 m high and 320 kg.

In terms of manufacturing, Cortizo's new sliding system has a locking system with a built-in thermal break in the profiles and offers the possibility of straight window frames, significantly reducing machining requirements and facilitating assembly. To further optimize opening and closing, the system features bearings integrated directly into the frame, on which the sliding surface of the window runs smoothly.
The new Cor Vision Evolution also includes features adapted to current architectural trends, such as the pocket solution, in which the sashes are completely hidden in the wall, or the 90º opening without a window pillar, leaving the entire opening free of visual barriers. To enhance a homogeneous aesthetic and improve accessibility, the system offers a hidden rail solution and a drainage grille that can be powder coated or anodized in the same color as the rest of the profiles. In addition, the system offers the possibility of installing a PRM threshold of only 20 mm.
Cortizo was founded in 1972 as a small carpentry factory in Padrón, Spain. In the 1980s, the company made the move to own aluminum foundry, extrusion presses, powder coating and anodizing plants. Starting in the 1990s, Cortizo further expanded its activities with the design and development of innovative aluminum and plastic window and façade systems, specifically aimed at the international building and architecture market.
Today, Cortizo has an impressive production capacity of about 150,000 tons of aluminum and 50,000 tons of PVC per year. This makes it one of the biggest players in Europe in this field. The Spanish multinational now has 31 production sites and distribution centers, supplies more than 32,000 customers and operates in 87 countries worldwide.
A clear growth trend is also visible in Belgium and the Netherlands. Since mid-2024, frame manufacturers, architects and contractors can also visit the new showroom in Kampenhout, near Brussels. This underlines Cortizo's ambition to become a fixture in the Benelux for sustainable, high-quality window frame and façade solutions.
