Wholesaler of door and furniture hardware participates in HoutPro+ for the first time

Mix of Italian branded products and in-house production in China and India

HDD Design is participating in HoutPro+ for the first time. The wholesaler in door and furniture fittings from Meise will highlight its extensive range: a mix of branded Italian products and high-quality fittings manufactured in its own factories in China and India. Managing director Olivier Descurieux and his team closely follow trends and continuously translate them into new developments, further optimizing the range. HDD Design also stands for rock-solid service.

Wide range

What is today called HDD Design was founded in 1960 by Henri De Donder and Paula De Saert as a dealer network for door and furniture hardware in the Benelux. Their life's work was further expanded into a renowned wholesale business with a broad but balanced range of nearly 10,000 products: door and window handles, tuck-in bolts, pulls, toppers, hinges, locks and security fittings, doorstops, cabinet pulls, house numbers, mailboxes, .... These are always in stock and are delivered anywhere in the Benelux within 24 hours with our own transport service.

“For many years, we only distributed products from Italian A-brands. But when price started to play an increasing role, we started our own production facility in China,” said Managing Director Olivier Descurieux. “Meanwhile, we also have an additional factory in India. This mix is one of our greatest strengths: Italy stands for design, China for size and India for craftsmanship.”

Translating trends into new products

The team at HDD Design continues to optimize the range to meet customers“ needs and desires. They closely follow trends and convert them into new products. ”A great example is the launch of the color matte bronze,“ Descurieux points out. ”Tastes change and new colors often do well for a while before disappearing again. Inox and black were exceptions and matte bronze should also become such a popular stayer. After all, the color fits perfectly with the wood and brown tones in contemporary interiors. At HoutPro+ this will certainly be one of the eye-catchers, but of course we are highlighting the full range."
