Insect screen specialist bash-tec, a 100% subsidiary of Deli Home, has signed a strategic licensing agreement with FlexScreen, the leading US manufacturer of flexible screens known from Shark Tank, a US business reality series. This partnership, aimed at facilitating custom home improvements, not only opens new sales channels, but also strengthens Deli Home's position in the European insect screen market. The focus of this partnership is to introduce FlexScreen in Europe to DIY chains, wholesalers and manufacturers of windows, doors and frames.
What makes FlexScreen unique is its impressive track record in the United States, with tens of millions of dollars in sales. FlexScreen offers a simple, customized product with an unprecedented short lead time. The automated manufacturing process makes it possible to produce a screen suitable for a wide range of high-quality mesh in minutes. Significantly faster than the production of traditional screens that often take dozens of minutes. This innovative process, combined with Flexscreen's unique durable design, allows us to improve our customer service and tap into new markets.
Arnd Büdenbender, CEO of bash-tec, explains, "This cooperation with FlexScreen represents a crucial step for us to bring innovative insect screen products to Europe, especially in the area of custom manufacturing. We are convinced that the introduction of flexible insect screens will revolutionize the world of home renovation."
Joe Altieri, CEO of FlexScreen, added, "This licensing agreement with bash-tec marks a milestone for FlexScreen with which we introduce our flexible screens to the European market. This will allow us to provide our customers with customized screens with just-in-time delivery. We look forward to our joint impact on the European screen market."
In 2013, FlexScreen began as an innovative idea from inventor Joe Altieri. In his garage, he created the world's first and only flexible window screen to solve all the frustrations associated with manufacturing and installing old-fashioned aluminum screens, a technology that is 100 years old. In 2020, he successfully participated in the Shark Tank program on ABC.
Specialist bash-tec, with more than 20 years of experience in the development, assembly and packaging of insect screens and screen components, is the preferred partner for FlexScreen in Europe. As the exclusive European distributor of high-quality mesh from the Saint Gobain brand Adfors, bash-tec serves wholesalers, DIY stores and European insect screen manufacturers. This cooperation with FlexScreen strengthens the position of bash-tec and Deli Home in the insect screen market in Europe.
