'This was the best BAU of all time for us'

Review of the fair

Extremely positive is Dr Hahn about the just concluded BAU 2023 trade fair. "Never before have we had so many visitors to our booth," says Igor Obradović, General Sales Manager at Dr. Hahn. "Owners, directors, technical and purchasing managers; the visitors came mainly from the management level of companies. The quality of the talks was very high."

Once again BAU confirmed its claim to be an international trade fair. At Dr. Hahn's booth, 85% of the visitors came from export markets. In addition to information about new and already introduced door hinges, visitors to the booth were particularly interested in company-related developments and projects: in what way is the company working on sustainability? What support options are available for digitalization? When can BIM datasets be made available for companies in door construction?

Obradović: "These are all projects we have been working on for a long time and for which concrete solutions are already being provided. As a first step, we have been certified by EcoVadis. We provide retailers with product datasets for their merchandise management systems and web shops and are already handling specific requests for BIM data."

For example, many system providers are interested in the new Rollenband AT, which can be adapted to most profile systems. Architects were further enthusiastic about the Hahn VL hinge. Although it has been on the market for several years, the 180° version is in high demand. Roller-band hinges for plastic doors were popular in export markets, especially the small Roller-band KT-RKN in two- and three-piece versions.

And for all those, who did not make it to Munich because of the strike, Dr. Hahn put together his fair products at his virtual fair booth.
