Things are serious in Hengevelde when it comes to sustainable building. Following the construction of the new energy-neutral building, the sustainable window frames are now rolling out of the factory on the conveyor belt. HEBO ensures that the customer can face 2020 without any headaches. Director and owner Norbert Kuipers is taking advantage of the Bouwbeurs 2019 to prove to the public that the company has all the announced products neatly in place.
Kuipers cannot hide his enthusiasm when we ask him about the novelties, and rightly so: there is quite a lot to report in the field of prefabricated window frames for energy-neutral building. He takes us past the products.
Optical perfection and optimal performance
"The new Thermo Slimline 50 window frames are prefabricated between the interior and exterior walls. The window frame partly disappears behind the wall, which raises the aesthetic level enormously. With a proprietary frame profile, we go from 86 mm to 50 mm external appearance. The windows go from 45 mm to 25 mm, for fixed windows," Kuipers explains.

"This also results in more visibility, due to a larger glass area. The performance doesn't lie; the U-value of the frame is 1.08 W/m2K, the U-value of the window frame is 0.74 W/m2K and the glass has a U-value of 0.5 W/m2K and a low ZTA of 0.35. This makes this window frame suitable for passive construction, according to airtightness class 3."
Invisible with full functionality
The Thermo Slimline 10 invisible window frames have a narrow outline, the frame is incorporated behind the wall.

"The rotating parts are worked out of sight, so the window frame has full tilt-and-turn functionality. Only the glass is in view. The system is based on the Gealan Cube system. We have tapered this on the outside so that the frame can be placed against the outside wall. And the performance? Those are once again impressive: The U-value of the frame is 0.98 W/m2K, that of the frame is 0.71 W/m2K (measured with a glass U-value of 0.5) and the U-value of the glass is 0.5 W/m2K, again with low ZTA (0.35)."
"The Thermo Slimline 10 invisible is an architectural masterpiece. Where we see the Thermo Slimline 50 as a universal replacement in new construction, the Slimline 10 invisible is going to be the architect's great friend. The product falls into the "specials" category with us. The basis is the Gealan Cube system, made up of an outer shell of acrylic, available in various colors. The inside comes in white plastic or in a wood grain decor of your choice," Kuipers continued.
Two worlds brought together into one brilliant product
"The 80×114 Small is a particularly beautiful product, where the inside is made completely of wood and the outside is made of wood, but with an aluminum shell around the pivots. It is a hybrid system where there is a rich color choice for the inside. The customer can choose a total version in hardwood with aluminum shell, or a variant where Accoya wood is used on the outside and pine on the inside," Kuipers explains.

"This attractive frame developed for luxury construction also meets all standards for passive construction. The U-value of the frame is 1.53 W/m2K, of the frame 0.89 W/m2K and of the glass 0.5 W/m2K with low ZTA (0.35). In the Accoya-Grenen combination, the U-value of the window frame is 0.79 W/m2K."
New doors open a new world of possibilities
The demand for oak doors was and is high. Yet an oak door often comes with problems, according to Kuipers. "The door shows action and is often delivered varnished blank, to guarantee its appearance. Then you soon see weathering and over time you get bogged down in increasingly frequent maintenance. Optically such a door quickly deteriorates. We have a solution for that, in the form of a new HEBO door, constructed from polyester panels with an indistinguishable oak look."
"The natural wood grain is visibly present on the 6 oak decors we offer. The customer can choose from standing or horizontal panels. The door can be installed in both the HEBO wood and plastic systems. HEBO provides a 10-year warranty on these doors," Kuipers concludes.
