Private or public, custom exterior joinery is available for any project

Exterior joinery manufacturers may focus on private residential construction or rather on public projects. However, most of them offer solutions for both segments. This also applies to DAKO. Although for the general public the specialist's exterior joinery is primarily associated with new construction and renovation for the private market, the company is also very active in public projects, such as schools, swimming pools, community centers, municipal service buildings, .... That is also why the technical approval ATG for the fire-resistant aluminum doors was so important.

During the renovation of the Institut Notre Dame du Sacré Coeur, a Catholic school for preschoolers and primary and secondary students, all windows were replaced with aluminum systems from DAKO .

In many cases, those looking for exterior joinery for their homes also end up with DAKO's quality windows and doors, shutters, fly screens and garage doors. "We always try to respond to the needs in that private market. Witness to this is the HarmonyLine, in which windows, doors, roller shutters and garage doors are matched to each other to obtain a facade with a uniform look and feel," says Bruno Vastmans, responsible for sales in Belgium and the Netherlands.

The former Rochefort technical services building, which now serves as a garden center, is particularly notable for its curved facade, for which DAKO also developed specific solutions.

"However, our solutions are also often used in public buildings. This is why we attach so much importance to the fact, that we are one of the few manufacturers of exterior joinery, which has been awarded the Belgian Institute  UBAtc obtained the technical approval ATG for fire-resistant structures made of aluminum. This means that all technical and legal requirements are met. was met to get the products on the Belgian market to be allowed to launch."

For the swimming pool of the Institut Saint-Joseph in Carlsbourg, which is open to the general public in addition to school activities, DAKO supplied both the windows and the front door, all in a very striking color.

In practice

DAKO has already produced and supplied solutions for public applications in Flanders and the Netherlands, as well as in Wallonia. For example, management, architect and contractor chose DAKO's aluminum windows for the renovation of the Institut Notre Dame die Sacré Coeur in Beauraing, a school for nursery, primary and secondary education. The Ecole Saint-Joseph aux Champs in Grez-Doiceau, a school for children aged 2.5 to 12 in the middle of the forest, also selected aluminum DAKO exterior joinery in a popular gray color. The facade of the swimming pool at the Institut Saint-Joseph in Carlsbourg, which is also used for the general public, stands out in particular with the striking turquoise color of the front door and windows, while the former technical services building in Rochefort, which now serves as a garden center, was given a curved facade. DAKO also provided specific solutions for these projects.   n
