It is worth mentioning here that the test was passed with the standard hinge. Additional components, such as thief pins or other supporting parts, were not required. Moreover, the hinge would have passed further tests if the test door had not broken out at the corner joints. Therefore, the test had to be stopped. Therefore, there will soon be another exam with a new, reinforced door to also obtain the 3-star certificate. 

The VL-Band AT is the latest product from the hinge manufacturer. It replaces its predecessor and has a number of technical advantages in addition to an attractive appearance. For example, it can be adjusted in six directions, it can support up to 180 kg when using two hinges, depending on the profile systems, and does not require special accessories for hanging in or out. 

The hinge can be used for DIN left and DIN right as well as for inward and outward opening doors. An opening restriction must be provided by the customer. In certification to EN 1935:2002, the hinge has achieved hinge class 13 for high loads and may be used in the prescribed area of application. The patented fastening segments bridge the thermal insulation chambers of the profiles at variable distances from 43 to 82 mm.
