Invisible door system for pivot doors
With X3, Xinnix developed a solution for pivot doors. The frame ensures that the clearance around the door leaf remains evenly 5 mm and that "errors" in the walls are eliminated.

Invisible door system for pivot doors

Innovation is in Xinnix Door Systems' genes. The specialist in the development and production of invisible door systems has accumulated extensive market knowledge in door hardware and years of experience in door installation, which invariably results in the development of innovative products that combine ease of installation with high quality and a refined finish. Today, the company from Harelbeke introduces a new solution, specifically designed for pivot doors: the X3 series. In this system with a self-closing pivot, which is built invisibly at the bottom of the door leaf, the clearance around the door leaf remains evenly 5 mm.

There's a door, but you don't see it - that's what Xinnix stands for. The company has been designing, creating and manufacturing patented door systems for years, which are completely flush with the wall, with no frames, hinges or other unevenness visible. To do this, they use pre-painted aluminum frames that are mounted in the wall. They come standard with 3D independently adjustable hinges and a Xinnix magnetic lock. More than 30 different locking methods are possible, including electric three-point locking.

New range for pivot doors

Xinnix already introduced the X1 and X2 series for swing doors up to a height of 3500 mm and the X5 series, which allows wooden or glass doors up to 3500 mm high and up to 3000 mm wide per door leaf to slide completely into a wall of ordinary thickness. In addition, the specialist also developed solutions for fire-resistant and acoustic interior doors.

"Today we introduce our X3, specially designed for pivot doors. The name actually comes from the number 3.14 or pi, immediately the first two letters of the word pivot door. This new series, available in white, black and stainless steel versions, features a self-closing pivot that is invisibly installed at the bottom of the door leaf. Doors are automatically locked at +90° and -90° for ease of use," says sales manager Laurens Vermeulen.

"However, the big innovation is in Xinnix's frame, which eliminates structural flaws and achieves a uniform aesthetic. All too many classic pivot doors are at the bottom against the wall, and as the door gets taller, so does the clearance between wall and door. The frame of the X3 ensures that clearance around the door leaf is evenly 5 mm and eliminates the 'errors' in the walls."

Universal system

In many applications, masonry walls appear straight, but they actually are not. Pivot doors are therefore usually placed in the middle of a wall so that one creates some margin for oneself to mask wall differences. The X3 from Xinnix, however, can be placed either centrally in the wall thickness or perfectly in line with an existing wall. Thanks to this universal X3 system, one can still determine the position of the door and the direction of rotation on the construction site.

"Our X3 is even ideal for use on masonry walls where linteel openings invariably cause problems for fixing the top pivot. After all, this pivot is already pre-mounted in the frame, making drilling into the reinforced concrete unnecessary," Laurens Vermeulen concludes. "Even a lock with latch can still be easily incorporated without having to cut into walls. As with all our solutions, we have also combined ease of use, aesthetics and universality in one product with this X3 pivot door."
