High quality door panels, produced in Germany and with a perfect sense of design. We are talking about Polytec, represented in the Netherlands by Polytec Netherlands since 1990. With a choice of designs, colors, materials and glazing options, Polytec knows how to win the hearts of even the most demanding customers with its door panels.
We speak with Ronnie Poelstra, director at Polytec Netherlands. "Polytec's strength lies in the high, consistent quality of the material and the diversity in appealing designs. We supply in plastic, aluminum, glass, ceramic and stainless steel design, thus seamlessly matching any home style."
Poelstra takes us on a bird's-eye tour of the three design lines marketed by Polytec: "The 'Modern' series has a fresh and sleek modern look. Totally contemporary and appropriate to contemporary modern building styles. The series is characterized by clean lines, innovative materials and fresh details. Naturally, this line is suitable for both new construction and renovation."
The "Art Decorline," on the other hand, harkens back to the old days. "This series has a traditional look and its look in old wood is reminiscent of days gone by. That said, this series is elegant and sophisticated. A jewel for a traditionally built house."
Those who love architectural design will enjoy the 'Exclusive' series. Poelstra explains, "The name says it all. With this line, Polytec offers a nice palette of choice to anyone looking for something special and unique. New surfaces and visionary shapes combined with beautiful materials create unique doors. For example, in this series you will find the very current concrete look and corten steel look, among others."
The Netherlands has a fondness for the 1930s architectural style, and Polytec meets the resulting need for nostalgic design. "With the 'Nostalgie' series, we offer a series of door panels in the style of the 1930s or old Dutch design. Actually, these elegant doors are timelessly beautiful."
Finally, Poelstra mentions the "Classic" series. "There is a big market for that too. There are plenty of fans of the more traditional design and materials. No less stylish, by the way, with harmonious proportions, playful curves and handmade glass."
As far as we are concerned, praise may go in the direction of the Polytec door configurator that can be found on the website. There, customers can configure their living dream in the door area themselves. "What could be nicer than picking out from the whole field of possibilities those things that are important to you in a door and then finally seeing them put together? This is how you create your own unique door. For those who know exactly what they want, the door configurator is therefore a means of further convincing them. For those who are looking for their own style, this online tool is an inexhaustible source of inspiration," says Poelstra.
Asked about current trends, Poelstra replied, "We are seeing an increase in minimalist, modern designs. Wing-covering doors with clear, clean lines. We are seeing the use of stainless steel lisens in the composition of these doors more and more. These lisens are recessed into the door panel and are easy to maintain. You can apply them horizontally and vertically, thus dividing the door into planes. Lisons can be executed upright or flush."
