GND introduces revamped door labeling: greater transparency and higher value throughout the life cycle

Stichting Garantiedeuren (GND) presents an updated version of the GND warranty label for wooden interior and exterior doors. The label responds to developments in laws and regulations as well as the growing need in the market for reliable, readily accessible information on door performance and product documentation.

With over a decade of experience in applying QR technology and more than one and a half million labeled doors in the Netherlands, the updated labeling represents the next step in transparency, quality assurance and circular value.

More than two thousand doors are now scanned every month by a variety of users: project managers, inspectors, maintenance professionals and building owners. Users' ratings average above four out of five stars, mainly due to the ease of delivery, monitoring performance such as fire, smoke, noise, burglary and insulation, and maintenance of doors.

Value at all stages of the life cycle

Whereas a KOMO quality declaration or CE marking focuses on products upon delivery, GND labeling adds value throughout a door's lifetime. Thus, the label contributes to transparent information for building owners, quality assurance and maintenance services, as well as to value determination and reuse within circular building concepts.
