A further optimization of the KT roller hinges

Door manufacturers expect a door hinge to be easy to operate and adjust. An adjustment option in 6 directions is state of the art. In addition to a high-quality surface finish - preferably in all RAL colors and anodized - maintenance-free use under high loads is also a requirement.

The new Hahn button hinges for PVC doors from the Hahn KT-RV and Hahn KT-RN series already meet these expectations when they were launched on the market. Yet the hinge specialists from Mönchengladbach have discovered something that will make life even easier on the job site. For both series, the sealing pressure can in future be adjusted at the suspended door leaf.

This allows one person to adjust the door element on the spot. The adjustment path is +/- 0.7 mm. It is no longer necessary in the future to lift the sash out of the frame. Permissible sash weights always depend on the profile situation. Hahn hinges were tested with sash weights of 120 kg (2-piece) and 160 kg (3-piece). This makes them suitable for the most common situations. High load classes are certified by the CE test according to EN1935:2002.

Both hinge series also proved their resistance to burglary attempts as part of the SKG certification. The Dutch testing institute awarded 2 stars. This means that the hinges meet at least the requirements for doors with RC2 approval.

Dr. Hahn will deliver the optimized versions to retailers beginning in May 2025.
