Fire safety is an important issue in the realization of construction projects. After all, a fire-safe building protects people, but also ensures that the building itself is largely preserved and that activities can continue.
Among other measures, architects and building owners are increasingly choosing to integrate fire doors into offices, public buildings and other projects, as well as homes and apartments. After all, those doors prevent a fire from spreading from one room to another, providing an escape route. DAKO presents DA-78EI, the fire-resistant door in classes EI30 and EI60.
DAKO is synonymous with innovation. The Polish company produces quality windows and doors in PVC, wood and aluminum, as well as shutters, fly screens and garage doors. "We are continuously expanding our offer and tailoring it to customers' needs. All systems also meet the standards in force in the various markets," says Bruno Vastmans, responsible for sales in Belgium and the Netherlands.
"Furthermore, we invest heavily in the expansion and modernization of our production facilities and the training of our employees." The manufacturer has thus grown into an internationally oriented company, which together with a network of partners worldwide guarantees millions of products sold and a large group of satisfied customers.
DAKO is now expanding its range to include the DA-78EI fire-resistant door. It comes standard with a handle on an elongated door shield made of high-quality aluminum, a secure latch, a cylinder lock and a door closer.
Fire door DA-78EI
DAKO is now expanding the range with the DA-78EI fire-resistant door, which guarantees a fire-resistance of 30 minutes (class EI30) or 60 minutes (class EI60). "This door with an installation depth of only 78 mm is available in different versions: as a full door or with integrated glazing, as a single door or with side element," explains Vastmans. "It comes standard with a handle on an elongated door shield made of high-quality aluminum, a secure locking, a cylinder lock with no security rating and a door closer, which automatically closes the door leaf as required. Additional elements, such as thief's claws and 3-D adjustable surface-mounted hinges, result in an even higher degree of security."
Optionally, these fire-resistant doors can be supplied with various other types of handles, locks and door closers. And on customer request, they are equipped with an automatic draught excluder, which prevents strong smoke propagation.
ATG certificate
DAKO is one of the few manufacturers of exterior joinery to be awarded the Belgian Institute UBAtc obtained the ATG technical approval for fire-resistant structures made of aluminum. "Our windows and doors of the DA-70 and DA-77 series also have an ATG certificate. Now it has also been granted to the DA-78EI," concludes Bruno Vastmans. "This means that all technical and legal requirements have been met to be able to launch this product on the Belgian market."
