Recently Dulimex BV, international wholesaler in the field of hardware and ironmongery, entered into cooperation with the Swedish company RZ OLDA Innovation BV. The joining of forces brings the solution for securing double doors within reach. "OLDA's complete range of edge bolts and door hardware is now available from the Netherlands each and from stock," says Purchaser and Product Manager Jan Ooms on behalf of Dulimex.
Founded in 1985, OLDA has over 30 years of expertise in developing innovative door hardware of top quality. The company specializes mainly in the development of automatic, semi-automatic and manual lace sliders. "OLDA sees in Dulimex a strong partner for the distribution of their products," says Ooms. "We have experience as an importer and stockist wholesaler since 1982. We are currently a European distributor of more than 4,500 items. To this we are now adding OLDA's products. Thanks to our strong cooperation, you will have the solution for securing double doors in 48 hours!"
Double doors are not only a beautiful solution as connecting doors in a 1930s home, they also come into their own as access to balconies or gardens. Furthermore, they are often used in hospitals, schools and sports centers. The OLDA edge sliders offer an aesthetic solution for securing the passive doors. Ooms explains the three variants. "With automatic edge sliders, you ensure that the passive door opens or closes automatically when the active door is operated. This type is used when the passive door is opened frequently. Think of schools and sports centers."
A semi-automatic edge slide combines the functionalities of a manual edge slide with those of an automatic edge slide. Unlocking the passive door is a deliberate action and is done manually. Closing is automatic. "Manual edge sliders, the third variant, are operated completely manually," Ooms said. "That makes them ideally suited for double doors whose passive door remains closed on a regular basis."
Dulimex and OLDA stand for pure convenience. "Each edge bolt is delivered as a complete set in environmentally friendly packaging. This contains the edge bolt with corresponding striker plates, the mounting material and a link to both the mounting instruction and 2D and 3D drawings," Ooms says. "So you can get started right away."
When the lap of a lace bolt, espagnolette lock or door needle cannot be fully extended due to accumulated dust and dirt in the locking bowl, damage can occur to the door and hardware. OLDA's stainless steel anti-dust locking bowl prevents this. "The spring-loaded mechanism prevents dust and dirt from accumulating in the locking pot," Ooms explains. "Mounting it is also fit and forget. Once the locking pot is in the floor, you have nothing to worry about."
Do I need a type 1 or type 2 lace slide? Is a spring loaded lap useful or not? Can this edge slide be used in combination with a sash or draught excluder?
