In hospitals and nursing homes, as well as in homes, more and more functions are housed in one space. Think for example of living and eating, living and working, living and sleeping or living and care. In order to flexibly combine and separate these functions, a sliding door is an ideal solution. Especially when this sliding door can be built into the hollow wall so that no practical space is lost. The aluminum frame guarantees high quality and robustness and is ideally suited for high-frequency use, says René van den Biggelaar, Business Unit Manager Netherlands at Henderson. “The specifically shaped wheels and suspension rollers in the runner ensure even smoother running, while anti-jump is promoted.”
If desired, the anodized aluminum rail can be sealed with end caps, and a separate soft-close unit (opening and closing side) is also integrated. “In addition, a variant is available in which the in-wall door connects to the wall finish when invisible (flush). Because users have a choice of manual or electric operation with the Evolve M2 built-in kit, the Husky Pro system is also ideally suited for disabled people.”
Evolve M2 operates on the basis of a 24V motor and timing belt, Van den Biggelaar says. “The interior door system can be mounted in front, in or against the wall, after which wired or wireless operation becomes possible.” Very nice is that the system automatically stops when contact is made with a person or object. “In addition, Evolve M2 can easily be opened by hand. Even when the power is unexpectedly cut. If desired, the door can be left open for a longer period of time and (universal) motion sensors can easily be connected.”
The Husky Pro built-in set has recently been tested and certified 30 minutes fire resistant (FD30) according to EN1635, which means that the built-in set - in combination with the right finishing set - is also suitable for fire-resistant situations. The manual or self-closing finishing sets are supplied complete with filling rod, rail profiles, style profiles, closing strips and brush strips for a neat and (fire) safe finish.
For hospitals, nursing homes and homes where a basic version is sufficient, Henderson Netherlands also offers a Husky built-in set with anodized aluminum rail, which is pre-mounted on a wooden lintel and has wooden uprights to screw the trim against.
