Stadur, founded in 1982, is today one of the largest and most innovative manufacturers of sandwich panels in Europe.

Various standard and special elements are produced for the four segments BAU, VISCOM, TECHNIK and BAD for windows, doors and facades, printable panels for visual communication, automotive and industrial applications or as elements for bathrooms. In addition to a wide range of standard designs, this family-owned company also produces customized solutions up to dimensions of 14,000 x 3,200 mm.

Thanks to a wide variety of top coatings and sheet core materials, they can respond flexibly to customer requirements. With the Stadur Royal Edition, the manufacturer is now introducing a production variant with a ‘royal’ edge of the well-known sandwich element FB1/SL Stadurlon. And more innovations are coming.

Stadur was founded in 1982 and can be counted among the largest and most innovative manufacturers of sandwich panels in Europe. Especially for the construction industry, the company offers a wide range of different solutions with an extruded core made of polystyrene, polyurethane foam or, if desired, PUR foam, mineral wool or panels with a hollow core. There are even variants with a special core for improved sound attenuation or with a core that includes a burglar-resistant layer.

“Our sandwich panels are available with a wide variety of top coatings, such as plastic, melamine, HPL, decor film, aluminum, fiberglass-reinforced plastic, wood fiberboard, safety glass, fiber cement board, self-adhesive film or Stadurlon,” says Marc Nickel, construction sales manager for Germany and the Benelux countries.

“In 2009, we built a plant in Karstadt/Brandenbrug specifically equipped for the extrusion of plastic panels. The high-quality plastic Stadurlon, a development in cooperation with BASF, is produced there. The plastic base consists of the environmentally friendly polypropylene. The production process takes place via co-extrusion. This allows us to produce different colors and surface treatments quickly and cost-effectively.”

FB-1/SL, one of the top products in the range, combines a core made of extruded polystyrene, which is grooved for optimal adhesion, does not create dust during processing and absorbs little or no water.

The core material is equipped on both sides with a top layer made of Stadurlon of 0.8 / 1.0 / 1.3 / 1.5 or 2.0 mm, including a protective film. This special plastic surface is suitable for applications in environments from -20°C to 120° C and can be worked simply with all tools for wood and metal. Stadurlon is characterized by high thermal insulation, UV resistance (5-year warranty) and unprecedented impact resistance.

The new Stadur Royal Edition is fully trimmed and constructed with non-grooved foam.

This material is available as standard in white (RAL 9016 satin), cream white (RAL 9001 satin) and salamander white (glossy). Since this plastic can also be easily painted, other colors can be ordered as an option. These sandwich panels are standard 24 mm thick and available in dimensions 2000 x 1000 mm / 2150 x 950 mm / 3050 x 1300 mm / 3000 x 1500 mm / 3000 x 2000 mm and 4000 x 2000 mm. Other thicknesses and sizes can be produced on request.

Stadur Royal: the ‘royal’ variety

“Today, with the Stadur Royal Edition, we are introducing an innovative variant of our white FB1-SL equipped with a high-quality Stadurlon top coat. However, more products will follow,” Nickel concludes. “What is special is the production. For the first time in Europe, non-grooved foam can be processed. The so-called louvre effect falls away and the surface becomes sensitively smoother and thus of even higher quality. In addition, the elements are trimmed on all sides. The edges are cleaner and straighter. The ‘zero cut’ in processing falls away, saving time and money. In addition to product quality, we guarantee excellent service, for example with fast and reliable delivery times. Because for Stadur, the customer is and remains king.”
