Safety and operator comfort are a priority at Teleflex

That being able to open and close windows, skylights and skylights electrically offers a world of comfort should be assumed to be well known. Often windows, skylights and skylights are in hard-to-reach places and electric operation is preferable to manual operation. Teleflex therefore offers innovative solutions for electric opening and closing. With the advancing technology in the field of controls for these electric openers and the consequent increasing demand for solutions, Teleflex has not been idle. We speak to Jesse Verheem of Teleflex, about the wide range of control options available.

From manual operation to control via an app

"Of course, we still supply many mechanical, manual controls. However, the demand for electric controls for windows, skylights and skylights has taken over. Electric operation in its simplest form comes with a traditional blind switch and thus requires wiring. Those who want to go a step further opt for radio control. The control point is then freely positioned or can even be carried in the form of a remote control in your pocket," Jesse explains.

"One step further is operation via the available Wi-Fi network, through a convenient app on your smartphone or tablet, or via a separate remote control. With this, Teleflex offers all the comforts of today and tomorrow."

Sensor technology at the service of the building and the user

With having electric openers, also comes the convenience of automation. Jesse: "We have various sensors available to proceed to automation. Think of rain, wind and temperature sensors, which, whether in conjunction or not, provide automatic opening and closing of windows, skylights and skylights. If there is a BMS (Building Management System), Teleflex can ensure that the electrical controls and the connected sensors run in the scenarios of the BMS. For those who have invested in a BMS, this is of enormous added value."

Keep moisture, dust and uninvited guests out!

Teleflex mechanical window controls are SKG certified and are in SKG burglar resistance class 2*. "The same goes for the VEGA electric chain opener," says Jesse. "Looking at another piece of security, dust and water tightness come to mind. Our S80 linear opener is ideally suited for domes and skylights. It is available in strokes 200 mm, 400 mm, 600 mm, 800 mm and 1000 mm. At 200 mm and 400 mm the dust and water tightness is no less than IP68 (completely dust and water tight, e.g. very interesting for humid environments such as greenhouse construction) and at other strokes it is IP65."

Teleflex offers in-house assembly capabilities. With their years of knowledge and experience, they devise a suitable solution for every situation.
