20e edition Polyclose on Jan. 19, 20 and 21, 2022 at Flanders Expo Ghent
European trade fair for window, door, sun protection, facade and access technology
Edition 2022 of Polyclose will be a special edition in all respects. Already for the 20th time, professionals in window, door, sun protection, façade and access technology can meet each other - in complete safety -, discover innovations and develop fruitful business relationships. And all in one place: on January 19, 20 and 21, 2022 at Flanders Expo Ghent. Admission is free with online pre-registration and exclusively for professional visitors. There will of course be a lot of attention to corona measures this year.
It goes without saying that the fair organization does everything possible to ensure a safe visit. All guidelines issued by the Belgian government are observed and the organization sees to it that they are strictly adhered to so that a safe fair is guaranteed for all visitors and exhibitors. As required by the measures, the Corona Safe Ticket (CST or Covid Certificate) and identity card of all visitors and exhibitors checked at the entrance, wearing a mouth mask mandatory and should be the 1.5 m distance to be respected. The exhibition halls are adequately ventilated, combined with permanent monitoring of CO2 levels, and contact points are disinfected regularly. Every morning there is a quick test room for those who are not yet fully or unvaccinated. With all these interventions, the fair can proceed safely, in accordance with legal regulations. The fair proves that the market for windows, doors, blinds, façade systems and access technology has been anything but idle recently. Here are some of the developments you can discover at Polyclose 2022.
Just because of lockdowns and the staycation effect, individuals have started investing heavily in their homes and expanding outdoor spaces. More and more people are choosing to patio canopy to increase living space. But the demand for canopies has also never been greater for the hospitality industry.
The facade remains a building's calling card. Buildings with huge glass surfaces is a trend. Therein lies a challenge for awning. High-quality film cladding is becoming increasingly popular.
Because of rising energy prices and a growing climate problem, more attention is being paid to sustainable solutions and high insulation values. Thus, airtight (re)construction with a thorough insulation today the norm, but (natural) ventilation is important for a healthy indoor environment.
In terms of digitization and automation, further great strides are being made. Software manufacturers continue to optimize and expand their programs. With new features, window manufacturers, door manufacturers and facade builders can calculate, engineer and produce their products ever more easily, quickly and reliably.
Also, the market of access technology continues to grow. Consider, for example, the ever-growing group of elderly people who want to live independently at home for as long as possible, with a flexible and secure access control system for caregivers and those in need of care.
Fair organizer Guy Martens: "We note that the market needs the fair, despite modern digital capabilities. This is proven by the large number of exhibitors. Virtual shows will never be able to replace a physical fair."
