Renson Outdoor welcomes Dieter Maes as new general manager

International growth remains key ambition

On June 26, Dieter Maes (44) will take over as general manager of Renson Outdoor from Dieter Heyman, who helped put the youngest of the Renson business units on the map for 10 years. Dieter Maes' experience in scaling companies internationally matches perfectly with Renson Outdoor's ambition to continue to grow globally.

"In any case, I have every confidence that with Dieter we have someone on board who can guarantee the continuity of our outdoor department as well as give the international ambitions a new boost," Dieter Heyman says. Dieter Maes can draw on more than 20 years of experience in international marketing, sales and business development at companies such as Verstraete IML and Multi-Color Corporation. "I absolutely believe in the added value of a strong team, with the right combination of people and their talents," he says. "By joining forces and using everyone's expertise optimally, you get the best results. There is a lot of talent running around at Renson. I am eager to work with the whole team to convince the world that Renson is the brand par excellence in the field of high-end comfortable outdoor living: distinctive in quality, design and durability. Together with our partners we already have ambitious plans to serve our clients even better. By continuous dialogue and working together on innovations, we want to remain one of the market leaders in outdoor living."

Paul Renson (CEO Renson Group): "With Dieter Maes, we bring in an experienced man who can carry the innovative Renson DNA even further internationally."

Renson is firmly convinced of Dieter Maes' pragmatic approach and capacities to further grow Renson Outdoor internationally, even in a rapidly changing and increasingly complex market. Paul Renson (CEO Renson Group): "With Dieter Maes we are bringing in an experienced man who can further propagate the innovative Renson DNA internationally. The interest in outdoor living has only grown since the establishment of our outdoor living division in 2009. Projects, buildings and public spaces increasingly focus on well-being and health, with nature in a prominent role. As a manufacturer, we are responding to this. And that keeps opening up new perspectives and opportunities worldwide. It's up to Dieter to keep spotting these latest trends and working on them with the entire outdoor team."

"At the same time I like to thank Dieter Heyman for the work he has done and wish him every success in his further career," Paul Renson goes on to say. "Thanks to his efforts and passion, Renson is where it is today in the field of outdoor living: as the reference for quality and design. The growth we have made so far as a pioneer in outdoor living is partly due to him. Now I am especially looking forward to seeing how we can successfully continue that trend."

Dieter Maes (General manager Renson Outdoor): "With a strong team, we can put Renson on the global map as the brand of choice for high-end custom outdoor living."

Creating healthy spaces' is Renson's baseline and mission. As a trendsetter in ventilation, sunprotection and outdoor living, this dynamic and fast-growing family business swears by natural elements such as light and air which - cleverly used - form the basis of a healthy and comfortable living and working environment for everyone, indoors and outdoors.

By strongly focusing on innovation, communication and internationalization, Renson is on the heels of the future, always with a focus on a healthy and comfortable indoor climate as well as pleasant outdoor living in houses, apartments, offices, schools and care institutions. The emphasis is on sustainable and aesthetically integrated total concepts that set the bar high in terms of energy efficiency, acoustics and design.

Although strongly anchored locally, Renson's vision is becoming increasingly international, witness its strong distribution network that in the meantime reaches as far as the USA, the Middle East, Asia and even Australia. This way Renson reinforces its ambition to grow from a Belgian company into a world player in the field of ventilation, sunprotection and outdoor living. Renson has 1600 employees worldwide and a turnover of 300 million euros.
