Products from Breuer & Schmitz cradle to cradle certified

Naturally, they are very proud of the result at Breuer & Schmitz. It is also - as they see it at the company - a nice reward for all the efforts in recent years for cleaner and circular building materials.

"Our aim is to handle materials and production as sustainably as possible. Environmentally-conscious production processes, the use of recyclable materials and the use of clean energy are important pillars for doing business in an environmentally conscious manner. As a company, we are aware of our responsibility for the environment, climate and society. This is why most of our product range has already been certified to the Cradle to Cradle standard level Bronze since 2016."

One continues: "During the construction of our new commercial building last year, over 4,000 square meters of solar panels were installed. With this, an important step was taken to advance from bronze to silver. Since December 2022, therefore, the complete product series Topforce 804 and Allround 818, as well as our project hinges 055 and 060 and the frame constructions, have been Cradle to Cradle Silver certified."

Remarkably, as the first and only manufacturer of hinges to date, the company has also taken on the challenge of Cradle to Cradle criteria in the areas of healthy materials, recyclability, water management, use of clean energy and, last but not least, adherence to social standards and values.
