With the ventilation heat pump DucoBox Eco, DUCO is targeting families who wish to make their homes more sustainable to a completely gas-free home. During ENERGIE, the ventilation specialist will introduce no less than four smart heat pump concepts tailored to the occupant.
With a conventional ventilation heat pump, all air is removed from the home when there is heat or hot water demand. As a result, more air than necessary is often taken out of the home just to provide the heat pump with sufficient air flow. Over-ventilation causes unnecessary heat loss and associated costs. In cold outside temperatures and limited power, such a heat pump sometimes even runs purely to compensate for its own losses. DucoBox Eco does not overventilate. Basically, the DucoBox Eco 100% on outside air. However, in order not to lose energy, the available ventilation air also sucked over the heat exchanger. As a result, the air temperature is higher. And thus also the efficiency which allows maximum energy recovery!
Newcomer during ENERGIE 2021 is the compact WTW unit DucoBox Energy Comfort. Installers save maximum installation time with this unit. The Netherlands has a long tradition of serial housing construction. Through a handy copy function in the software, it is possible within serial construction to take over the settings within a similar home. And that translates into immense time savings on the construction site. Physical interventions are not necessary. The left/right exchange is done 100 % by software thanks to a patented principle with the double by-pass.
As a second novelty, DUCO is introducing the Duco RoofFan to the general public. This pressure-controlled roof fan provides collective exhaust within DUCO's Demand Controlled Natural Ventilation systems. The pressure control ensures perfect distribution of flow rates in stacked housing construction. The Duco RoofFan is available in two versions with a maximum flow rate of 1,800 or 3,000 m3/u.
