'Create difference, grow business'

How does the window frame industry combine the advantages of modern technologies with the highest standards in design, safety and durability? At Rehau's booth at Fensterbau Frontale, visitors will get an answer to that question.

Rehau will showcase innovative solutions on 860 m² of booth space. This will all take place in the completely revamped brand environment. Under the slogan 'Create difference, grow business' it will show how distinctiveness will lead to more sales. We speak with Roberto van den Berg, account manager at Rehau.

Extensions to the system portfolio

"In addition to the proven SYNEGO and GENEO profiles made from the 'next generation' RAU-FIPRO X materials, Rehau will present a new sliding door system within the SYNEGO series," Van den Berg opens the talk. "The focus here is on user-friendliness, design and rational processing." Another new product on display is SKYFORCE, a glass fall protection system as an addition to all Rehau product lines. International customers are also being considered, with SYNEGO NL, Delight and Prestige Design.

Smart solutions and value-added digitization

Rehau has previously shown itself to be a leader in the field of "smart windows" and will continue this trend in 2020. Van den Berg explains, "With these smart solutions, our customers get products with real USPs, for maximum distinctiveness. The enhancements to the existing Smart Guard security solutions open new doors when it comes to connectivity. We are also showing how our smart solutions can be interconnected, for example when linking our Smart handles with the Smart Guard. We are then talking about even better burglary protection thanks to automatic locking."

One of the major challenges in the industry is digitization. "The question this raises is which concrete solutions add value in the real world and can these solutions provide answers to challenges the industry is currently facing," said Van den Berg. "Rehau is looking at the topic of digitization through the eyes of the customer. During Fensterbau, we will show how our digital solutions can help make selling this technology easier and what support we can offer in coordinating the processes involved. We will also use our digital solutions to answer the lack of skilled personnel in the production of windows and doors."

The KALEIDO COLOR design series allows rooms and windows to be individually styled. Van den Berg comments, "Rehau will show its extensive range of colors and surface finishes. We are talking about lacquers, film coatings and aluminum surfaces, which open up endless possibilities for creating attractive windows."

Sustainability consistently implemented

Sustainability is becoming increasingly important to the general public. For Rehau, this has been true for more than 30 years. "We use recycled PVC in our production in a circular way, we recycle old plastic window frames for this purpose. Our sustainable window frame profiles therefore contain at least 40% recycled raw materials. These window frames are marketed under the name EcoPuls. This enables our partners to also do their bit within the sustainability story."
