It's moving at BD Systems (Spiere). The firm has been thoroughly modernized in recent years, the website revamped and the staff went from 10 to just under 20 employees. "These are all steps to ensure even better service. We focus on the B2B market and private individuals through a network of installers (window manufacturers, solar professionals and joiners). To that end, we continue to look for additional partner installers," Carole Devos comments. "We deliberately choose a no-nonsense approach with short lines of communication, which allows us to respond flexibly to market demands. Our customer is central."
BD Systems also remains committed to innovation. This mainly involves developments that make life easier for the installer. With the pleated screen doors, for example, the manufacturer offers a solution for applications with insufficient space around the doorway for a traditional open fly door or a sliding screen. They also developed a window screen with an adapted profile for apartments, where aluminum railings are often placed very close to the window and no longer allow a screen to be inserted between them. "Those who have a sliding window can combine it with our opening and closing fly screens. At Polyclose, we showed a prototype of a solution where these sliding fly screens can also be mounted in applications with recessed rails," Devos continues. "In addition, a softclose mechanism can be mounted in the rail, allowing the screen door to slide in slowly at the end, automatically or not."
