While FUHR focused sharply on the woodworking window frame industry at HoutPro+ 2025, at Polyclose 2026 the company will mainly be targeting manufacturers of plastic (PVC) and aluminum profiles. This is because the company also has the necessary access control systems and locks in store for this specific target group.
First of all, FUHR has some great news in the field of increasingly popular pivot doors with the new 835Pivot. With this patented solution, developed as an extension of the well-known 835 line, it is possible to achieve comfortable motorized opening on both sides of the door using an automatic multi-point lock. In addition, the swivel hooks based on DuoSecure technology ensure that even the tallest doors are securely locked and closed. “With this invention, we are meeting a clear need,” says Benelux sales manager Michiel Hofman. “Pivot doors are increasingly in demand as advanced door constructions in the residential and utility market. We are responding to this with this line extension.”
On January 14, 15, and 16, 2026, Flanders Expo will also be the stage on which the recently officially presented new SmartAccess access control system will shine once again. As the result of an intensive development process, this highly advanced access control system ensures maximum convenience. “With SmartAccess, doors can be opened easily and in a controlled manner without a key, using a special app on your smartphone,” says Hofman. “Without the need for an internet connection or the cloud.” The beating heart of this new masterpiece is the SmartAccess Module SAM. This compact Bluetooth receiver can be easily placed on the motor of a FUHR lock, instantly transforming it into a Smart Lock. The simple operation and extensive expansion options are welcome extras of the SmartAccess concept. As is the possibility of retrofitting the system. “During the trade fair, we will be focusing in particular on the SmartAccess program for KeylessGo,” Hofman reveals. “This allows you to open a door simply by touching a sensor on the door, a feature that can be easily set up with the SmartAccess app. FUHR offers door fittings equipped with a sensor especially for KeylessGo. Optionally, the sensor can also be incorporated into a door handle or installed separately.”
Following the recent introduction of the autosafe 835P automatic multi-point lock with double door handle, specially developed for use in nurseries, FUHR is presenting the appropriate follow-up to this in Ghent. “With the improved and even easier to install 846 PVC bolt solution for plastic doors, we are ensuring that all the advantages and functionalities of the 835 and 835P family can now also be used for double doors,” says Hofman. “We are also presenting the new 872 anti-panic multi-point lock. This new solution for the panic function D makes the use of an FZG-certified free-running cylinder superfluous from now on. Of course, this lock also fits seamlessly into our 1-milling pattern aluminum program and can be used with the familiar type 4/10/11 strike plates and strike strips. In short, there is plenty to see, experience, and enjoy at Polyclose, stand 1562 in hall 1. Although we won't reveal everything, one thing is certain: a visit is definitely worthwhile.”
