Geert Schiffeleers becomes new director of FAC

The board of directors of the Federation of Aluminum Constructors (FAC) has appointed Geert Schiffeleers as its new director. He succeeds Andy Coninx, who assumed this role ad-interim and, since July 1, together with co-CEO Dirk De Wachter, has taken over Hegge NV, facade builder and FAC member from the very beginning. 

Geert Schiffeleers is a familiar face in the aluminum construction industry. As owner-manager of Schiffeleers Glas in Alken for 27 years, he built a solid reputation in the windows, doors, interior glass and sun protection sector. In January 2024, he transferred his company to Kris Bosmans and some co-investors and gradually prepared himself for new professional challenges. 

President Joris Verschueren and the FAC board thank Andy Coninx for his commitment and expertise over the past two years and look to the future with confidence: "Andy Coninx has propelled the federation forward with energy and knowledge. Also with Geert, we will again have a director who knows our members and partners, understands the industry and has the right vision to help FAC continue to grow and prosper."
