And the Eco Award 2020 goes to ... Duco Ventilation & Sun Control! The Belgian Building Awards were presented yesterday evening at the Batibouw construction fair in Brussels. The awards recognize professionals and exhibitors for various achievements. Ventilation specialist Duco won the coveted Eco Award for its DucoBox Eco ventilation heat pump. Talk about an appropriate award!

The Eco Award is the prize for the company presenting the most environmentally friendly product at Batibouw Brussels.

Up to 60 % energy savings

With the DucoBox Eco, Duco focuses on families who want to make their homes more sustainable step by step. The ventilation heat pump uses the exhausted ventilation air as a sustainable heat source for heating and domestic hot water. The ventilation heat pump is coupled to a combi boiler with boiler tank, reducing a home's gas consumption by 60 %. Looking toward the future, the DucoBox Eco is technically easy to expand from hybrid to all-electric by adding a buffer tank.

In an initial reaction, Hendrik Dejonghe, marketing manager at Duco, notes, "In these times, climate awareness is high and sustainability is becoming increasingly important. A hybrid ventilation heat pump with electronically controlled ventilation grids is the ideal form of ventilation and heating for a home. This award rewards the hard work of the 30-member R&D team and provides even more motivation to strive for sustainable and innovative ventilation concepts."

The best of 2 ventilation worlds

The ventilation specialist has a full range of ventilation units for both System C and D. During Batibouw, Duco is bringing the best of these two ventilation worlds with a few novelties. The arrival of a new, electronic supply grille marks the update of the DucoTronic System, in combination with the energy-efficient ventilation box DucoBox Focus or DucoBox Silent Connect. Within System D, the lightweight and compact WTW unit DucoBox Energy Comfort will be presented. Well worth a visit to the exhibition!
