Alucol's ambitions and efforts to deal sustainably with materials and the environment have resulted in the ISO14001:2015 environmental management certificate. Frank Veelenturf, managing director of Alucol: “Our customers are also increasingly asking for proof of our environmental performance and sustainability promises. So this certificate also helps our clients, architects, facade builders and suppliers. Also for our international customers this certificate has added value for their (semi-)manufactured products.” Alucol is a specialist in the pre-treatment, anodizing and coloring of aluminum.
“We have been working intensively for years on environmental objectives, energy savings and the continuous improvement of these, but this was not yet secured with a certificate. All our employees are aware of our environmental policy. For example, we purchase materials and products as sustainably as possible. And we pay attention to possible health risks when using hazardous substances. We monitor our waste streams and reduce them as much as possible. Working safely and thus cleanly is also high in the Alucol banner.
With this certification, we want to show that we have a qualitatively mature environmental management system. As a surface treatment company, in addition to Qualanod and ISO9001, we therefore wanted to have - as a minimum - the ISO14001 certificate as an environmental management system. We want to remain at the forefront of our efforts in terms of sustainability and the environment. We can only achieve results in this if we work together company-wide, i.e. from sales, purchasing, engineering and production. The Alucol team is proud of every improvement, large or small, including this certificate,” says Frank Veelenturf.
