For some sixty years JAZO Zevenaar has been the specialist in the field of access, ventilation and shielding of diverse technical spaces. From the first pencil mark on paper to delivery. Including the complete engineering, making feasibility analyses, production, coating, assembly and mounting.
One of the inventions with which the company from Gelderland serves its customized customers concerns a versatile program of safety ventilation (roof) hoods. Products that are supplied in both standard and customer-specific versions and are distinguished by their very wide applicability.
JAZO's safety ventilation (roof) hoods are true all-rounders. Because although they are primarily used to ventilate transformer rooms through the roof or otherwise, they are also a high-quality and sustainable solution within various other technical areas. Regardless of whether the ventilation takes place via the natural process or the mechanical principle. "You can think, for example, of areas where technical equipment, generators or waste containers are placed and whose ventilation is best done through the roof," says sales manager Peter Schaars on behalf of JAZO. "In addition, our hoods are increasingly used within data centers and parking garages, spaces within which it is important to adequately extract heat and exhaust gases respectively."

A safety ventilation (roof) hood from JAZO always fits. With the out-of-stock D400, D500 and D600, the company first offers three standard types specifically designed for natural or mechanical ventilation of utility buildings (electrical, gas and telecom) or other areas where (roof) ventilation for humans, animals or machinery is required. Each type is standard constructed of HS-27R safety ventilation grilles connected by rain-resistant mitred corners. Optional HS-42R or HS-50R safety ventilation grilles can be used. "Our standard solutions are available in any RAL color and include snow and dust resistant, puncture resistant, mouse proof and vandal resistant," continued Schaars.
"Moreover, they are usually supplied as one complete and pre-finished unit and are relatively lightweight. As a result, they can be mounted quickly and easily on any prescribed roof curb. And that saves quite a bit, both in terms of time and money. It's just a matter of placing them, screwing them on, and done. A child can do the laundry."

JAZO's customer-specific roof covers are designed in close consultation with the customer. After the wishes and requirements of the customer, architect, installer and contractor are combined in a plan of action, JAZO's engineering department devises a feasible concept which, after approval, can be taken into production. The customized hoods can also be fitted with all types of grilles from the JAZO product range. This makes it possible to provide a suitable product for every application and situation.
"It happens quite often that a contractor knocks on our door in principle for a standard roof," Schaars said. "But just as often it then turns out that the capacity offered is not sufficient. This is particularly the case when the canopy is to be used for data centers or parking garages. We then recommend placing several standard hoods side by side or opting for a custom solution in the form of one large ventilation hood. Anything is possible."
