Introduction hinge for outward opening plastic doors

When Venster Techniek from Zelhem was at the previous edition of Polyclose, there appeared to be a lot of demand for beautiful hinges for outward opening plastic doors. Jurgen Rensen, director and owner of Venster Techniek, put himself and his team at the drawing table. With the company's expertise and years of experience, a beautiful hinge was developed for this application.

No more damage to the frame of the door

"The problem with outward-turning plastic doors is that the roll tape hinges that were there up until now go through the overlay of the door. Actually, you've lost a piece of seal with that," Rensen explains. "At the lower lintel, the seal on the inside is then no longer wind and watertight. After taking stock of how much of a problem this was perceived to be, it became clear to us that the market was waiting for a better solution. We therefore developed a hinge that does not go through the frame of the door."

Widely available

Rensen wants to make the new hinge widely available to the market and therefore chose to sell via e-commerce. "To lower the threshold and allow everyone to benefit from this innovation, we only sell this hinge through a specially created webshop. Under the name sluit.nl, we offer not only this hinge, but also a wonderful selection of door and window fittings, in our own line. Webshop officially in use during Polyclose

Rensen planned to officially open the site when Polyclose begins. "We thought that would be a great time. The site is already accessible now and people can sign up for our newsletter, however, it is not possible to order until the site is open. The beauty of this webshop is that we are constantly developing new items, which we offer online. By the way, we ship everything from stock, from our own warehouse in Zelhem."

The development of the new hinge and the way of marketing it fits completely within the philosophy of Window Technology. "We always want to respond to market demand and the fact that we are now choosing the path of e-commerce has everything to do with making products easily accessible.
