Innovative products with added value for users

By nature, the construction industry is still quite conservative. Customers and professionals are often cautious and therefore do not choose innovative products and techniques. However, when they do take the step to work with LoCra's products, they realize that they should have done so a long time ago. The Kuringen-based family business supplies its own products, as well as solutions from a number of other manufacturing companies: window trim, window tiles, door panels, gutter cladding, facade trim and even garden fences and patio boards. LoCra makes no compromises when it comes to the quality of its products.

LoCra has long been an established name when it comes to products for interior and exterior finishing. Managing director Lode Craenen was brought up with a passion for the world of construction. His father had an engineering and architectural firm, his uncle a joinery shop. As a representative of window and door profiles, he soon developed his own ideas for product development. For this reason, he also founded his own company, which from the very beginning successfully combined the production of his own products and the distribution of solutions from a number of other manufacturing companies.  

"Our focus is on products for interior and exterior finishing. Quality of product and service always come first, so compromises in that area are out of the question. To produce more cheaply, we would have to use raw materials of inferior quality, which would create more waste. That is not an option," Lode Craenen explains. "Another important asset is our drive for innovation, with which we are not inferior to many international competitors. This manifests itself not only in the development and launch of new products, but is also evident in our efforts to improve existing products and processes. Those who have worked with our products see the added value of them and indicate that they should have taken the step a long time ago."

Interior

LoCra interior is a comprehensive program for interior window finishing. It consists of a range of finished, pre-formed outfits for windows, wall mouldings, shutter boxes and curtain cabinets made of moisture-resistant green MDF V313, covered with a plastic renolit film, available in the various colors. This film is applied with a polyurethane waterproof adhesive. In addition to the standard solutions, the company can also provide customized solutions. 

"Under the motto 'Lignodur^® window tablets - rely only on the original' with topline LD 36 and masterline LD 40 we offer a wide, high-quality range in different models, widths and colors. Their low weight ensures smooth installation. Thanks to the Lignodur^®, a high-quality mix of wood and plastic, creates a robust end product with a long lifespan," says the business manager. "We also offer a wide range in the area of door panels. Thanks to a specially developed production technique, the film runs through the flexible alignment of the grooves, which gives the door panel that touch of extra radiance."

Exterior

LoCra also offers solutions for exterior applications, specifically a range of gable and gutter linings, assembled from
Tricoya^® Extreme. 

"This unique sheet material, coupled with the Accoya^®-technology of acetylated wood fibers, has superior dimensional stability and excellent durability even under the most changing weather conditions. It is used for cladding facades, eaves, fascias, dormers and ceilings," concludes Lode Craenen. "We also supply garden fences and the Lignodur terrafina^® decking boards that are crack and splinter-free, but above all stand out for their ease of installation. Indeed, thanks to an ingenious click & clip system, the decking boards simply click together. The installer does not need to pre-drill and screw, making installation 50% faster."
