Harinck, manufacturer and supplier of FRAGER door panels, developed a new series of high-quality front doors that pay tribute to this famous school of architecture. This Bauhaus collection is exclusively available in Magnetude®, the unique, patented technique for sash-covering doors.
For more than 40 years, Harinck has been the reference when it comes to durable, safe and high-quality front doors, entrance doors and exterior doors in plastic and aluminum. The Belgian market leader manufactures and supplies a complete range of FRAGER door panels for the joinery industry and in doing so is always keen to push the boundaries.
"We are building smaller and more compact, and delivery times and prices are under tremendous pressure. This opens up new possibilities for the cube house, which has the most compact building form. Modern, square building forms with pure, clean lines, large glass surfaces and flat roofs are increasingly defining the street scene. After more than 100 years, it is time for Bauhaus architecture. Our new Bauhaus door collection should pay tribute to that famous school of architecture," says Franck De Munster, general manager of Harinck.
"These doors are intended to form an attractive accent in the smooth and clean facade detailing. As with our other series, craftsmanship, technology, functionality and aesthetics go hand in hand perfectly. Characteristically, the form follows the functions. The result is a minimalist design, with an emphasis on ease of use and efficiency."
This Bauhaus collection is available exclusively at Magnetude®, FRAGER's unique and patented technology for wing-covering doors. "With our unique system, the door panels are no longer glued to the door leaf, but simply mounted via a magnetic principle," explains Franck. "Dilatation is thus a thing of the past, since only the outer panel of the door expands when heated. The door leaf, on which the hinges and lock sit, does not warp, so the door cannot pinch. Even when the outer plate heats up to 90° C, the sash can be opened and closed without any problems. As a result, impressive door sizes are possible, such as doors 3 meters high and 1.5 meters wide, and that in all possible versions: from standard opening to pivoting doors with excellent thermal and acoustic insulation values. This opens up new opportunities for architects."
Within this collection, architects also have a choice of color finishes, and the doors can also be equipped with functional LED lighting to discreetly illuminate the door handle and cylinder, for example.
Door handles - and any glazing - determine the function and shape of the door. They are attached invisibly, are wide enough to open the door and offer a good grip to pull it closed.
"With this collection, we also prove that different door models can be made with one type of handle. As little material as possible is also used. The aluminum for the door handle is pressed through a die in one motion, cut to size and powder coated," De Munster concludes. "The Look & Feel of the front door can be changed in an easy way, without using any tools. Moreover, we are perfectly in line with circular construction: at the end of their service life, all parts can easily be separated and recycled separately."
