Soprema acquires company Fons Meeder B.V.

Fons Meeder B.V. is a company based in Zwijndrecht and is a specialist for all roofing tools and related items and a manufacturer of roof edge protection. 

With the acquisition of Fons Meeder B.V., Soprema aims to strengthen its market position within roof edge protection and roofer tools. Leo Hoekstra, CEO Soprema North Europe: "Currently, with subsidiary Vlutters Tools & Safety, we are already active within the Dutch market. Vlutters specializes in safe and efficient work to, on and off the roof. The acquisition of Fons Meeder B.V. fits perfectly into our strategy to grow even further in this market." 

Fons Meeder B.V. complements the product range that Vlutters Tools & Safety also sells. Besides products, they both put strong emphasis on professional advice and this 'close' to the client. For example, Fons Meeder B.V. has trucks that drive to customers and act as a mobile shop. In this way Soprema wants to unburden the roofer as a customer even better.  

Former owner of Fons Meeder B.V. will remain employed within the company for the time being and will ensure full integration within Soprema. Nothing will change for the 10 employees either and they will continue to be responsible for the day-to-day handling of questions, orders and deliveries.
