Architects and end users can choose from an extensive range of both glass and solid doors. All models can be perfectly combined with each other. “By using a sliding door, you can create a great atmosphere and save as much space as possible.”

Sliding doors not only look attractive, they also save a lot of space. You don't have to take into account the swing of the door, which can be a big advantage, especially in small spaces. Sliding doors come in all shapes and sizes and are available from Skantrae in a minimalist industrial design, including matching door fittings. “This means that even the smallest spaces can benefit from the luxury of an interior door,” says Maureen Klaassen, Marketing Communications Coordinator.

Sleek design in line with current trends

SlimSeries One and SlimSeries Ultra consist of sleekly designed wooden interior doors in black or white. SlimSeries One doors can be recognized by their door frames and thresholds of 60 millimeters (flush) and 73 millimeters (rebated) and can be used as hinged or sliding doors. SlimSeries Ultra goes one step further with frame widths of only 30 millimeters and offers applications for sliding or pivot doors. “The narrow styles and thresholds set the tone. The glass doors let in plenty of light and fit in with the industrial living style. With the solid doors, you can continue the same style in your interior while also maintaining privacy.”

With various options, such as 8-millimeter tempered safety glass—clear glass, frosted glass, or smoked glass—or panels, the range can be varied as desired. Double sliding doors are also available, with the option of adding a stop bar. This ensures that both doors fit together even better. Of course, the sliding doors are available in custom sizes. “These doors are perfectly customized in our own machining center.”

Specially tailored hinges and locks

“The combination possibilities of SlimSeries One and SlimSeries Ultra are endless. Not only because of the many types of door models, but also because of the three different sliding systems.” There are striking sliding systems that attract attention in matte black and stainless steel, but there is also an aluminum sliding system for mounting in the wall. “Each system has a unique look and fits seamlessly with the look and feel of the industrial door,” says Klaassen.

The fittings also offer various options. The door is complete with the choice of a door handle or sliding bowl. “A designer door with extremely narrow stiles requires special fittings, and not just in terms of design. The existing range of hinges and locks available on the market does not fit these narrow stiles.” That is why a SlimSeries hinge and lock package is indispensable for the SlimSeries door. This door is therefore sold in combination with a hinge and lock package.

“The drilling and milling are also carried out in advance in our machining center. Everything is done with precision to ensure a perfect end result. This ultimately makes installing the door very easy.”
