Good software is always tailored to the needs of the client. They know this better than anyone at Techwin Software. After all, the company has been a specialist in software solutions for the automation of business processes in carpentry shops for more than 25 years.
André De Weerdt started developing software to automate business processes in joinery companies in 1993. "I started at the request of one manufacturer in windows and doors, but found that many more joiners wanted to take the step towards automation," explains the company manager. "Therefore, I immediately recruited a number of employees and with JoPPS we developed a first module for the calculation of windows and doors. We continued to further optimize this package, developed new packages, and after moving to our current premises, there was also more room for professional training."
Techwin Software, the company of managing director Andre De Weerdt, has been developing software solutions for the automation of business processes in joinery companies for more than 25 years.
By working hard and, above all, listening carefully to clients, Techwin grew into a prominent supplier of specialized software for joiners in the Benelux. "We start from a thorough needs analysis and optimize our software packages accordingly. I don't work with computer specialists, but with people whose experience allows them to adapt the software to the day-to-day reality in companies," says De Weerdt. "After all, software development is a continuous process and each new release is updated based on concrete situations."
With Techwin's three specific packages, the entire business process in joinery shops can be automated. With JoPPS, the user simply enters window or door type, width and height, after which the system can generate quotations, orders, drawings, optimal cutting lists, work orders and machine controls.
It started with development for one window and door manufacturer, but today the JoPPS, JoRPA and JoSS software packages are used by a lot of joiners.
"With JoRPA, the user gets a total overview of the status of orders and processes, as well as staffing in the workshop and on the construction sites," adds Techwin's business manager. "Our software package JoSS, in combination with touchscreens and barcode scanners, provides paperless control and monitoring of the shop floor with integrated time recording. So the user knows perfectly what the status of the productions is and can easily make adjustments."
Techwin goes a step further, as an experienced support department installs the new functionalities at the user's premises, provides training and supports customers with problems. "We want to train our customers sufficiently so that they can use the products optimally," De Weerdt explains. "For additional training, adjustments to data and startup of new machine controls, our experienced support staff goes on site. And those who have questions or problems can always call on our support hotline."
