If desired, the software package can be extended with other functionalities at a later date,” says Bas Ladestein, managing director Voilàp Netherlands. “The FP Dealer module allows one to manage sales activities, while FP View is the ideal web configurator for the sales network. Design and calculation for windows and doors is done with FP Pro, for curtain walls with FP Facade. For the design of machining processes, FP Cam is the ideal solution. FP Opti2D is a tool for surface optimization. For managing orders, purchases, inventory, production and administration one can use FP Gest, and FP Workshop is a valuable support for the workshop.”
Emmegisoft also specializes in the development of software for controlling machining centers and sawing machines. Here, too, a number of new solutions were created to optimize production processes and improve the efficiency of machines within the smart factory concept.
“SIMU-X is a powerful 3D graphic simulation tool that allows the work plan to be visualized in advance. Thus, the testing time on the machine can be significantly reduced and cycle time can be accurately calculated,” Barra explains. “VCV provides a detailed picture of the machine's behavior. This system allows real-time monitoring from different angles, even from positions not normally accessible to the operator.”
“ACC, on the other hand, is an advanced safety system that protects the plant from operating or programming errors. The system works in the background and analyzes each movement in advance to predict possible collisions between the spindle and clamps or workpieces. In case of danger, ACC immediately stops the machine, displays an image of the possible collision point and gives the operator the option to cancel the cycle or analyze the situation in detail,” Ladestein concludes.
