European trade fair for window, door, sun protection, facade and access technology. Climate control, living comfort and circularity are keywords at Polyclose 2024

From January 17 to 19, 2024, it is once again gathering for the leaders in the world of window, door, sun protection, facade and access technology. That's when the 21st edition of the renowned Polyclose trade and networking fair will take place at Flanders Expo in Ghent, Belgium.

For three days - opening until 8 p.m. on Thursday - industry peers will find inspiration and innovations from leading Belgian, Dutch, German, French and other European exhibitors. Ventilation and climate control, modern living comfort and attention to sustainability and circularity are more central than ever. New applications will be revealed for the first time and there will be numerous live demonstrations for installers. In addition to many familiar exhibitors, newcomers will also present themselves to the market for the first time.

Admission is free and exclusive to professionals. Tickets can be requested in advance at www.polyclose.be.

Accordingly, from Wednesday through Friday, the main European market players will showcase their latest novelties to some 14,000 professionals - about a quarter of whom are from the Netherlands.

This makes Polyclose an efficient, but also enjoyable opportunity to reach many people in a relatively short time and to keep abreast of the latest developments and innovations in the world of window, door, shading, facade and access technology.

The highlights

This edition of Polyclose will also be an international meeting place for the building of tomorrow. Builders have ever more sustainability and circularity requirements. Functionality, living comfort and design must go hand in hand. Contractors, architects and building owners will have the opportunity at the trade fair to explore the latest solutions and developments in energy efficiency, safety and sustainability.

The trend of sleek and ultra-slim window profiles with large glass surfaces continues to grow, with all the possible challenges in terms of installation, insulation, ventilation and shading. Doors have to score high not only in terms of design, but also in terms of burglary protection and insulation. In facade construction, high-quality films have made their definitive appearance. In addition to being aesthetic, durable and exceptionally versatile, there are also solar, burglar and even soundproof films on the market.

Screen awnings, whether automated or not, have been on the rise in recent decades to prevent indoor heating and reduce building energy consumption. Architects are increasingly integrating fabric awnings as façade elements. Minimalism is a hot topic in this regard. Contemporary shading systems are controlled using natural energy sources, such as a solar panel, this way they also consume less.

Thanks to mild winters, screen season is getting longer and longer. They must also fit the trend of seamless window, door and gable styles.

Outdoor living is not just a hype, it is here to stay. Terrace coverings can no longer be left out of the awning specialist's assortment. They are increasingly becoming an extension of the home's interior and adapted to personal style. It is therefore no surprise that versatile canopies, attached or free-standing, available in different materials, and related products will feature prominently at the trade fair.

The importance of end-to-end digitization in companies continues to grow. Innovative software solutions, which support window, door, blinds, and façade manufacturers to optimally digitize their business processes, will be on display at Polyclose.

"We are very pleased with the registrations so far and confident that we will experience a successful trade show in 2024," said organizer Guy Martens. "We are proud to create an environment where professionals can network, exchange knowledge and be inspired by the latest developments. Polyclose encourages growth and progress in the industry, which is increasingly focused on sustainability, and provides valuable business opportunities for all participants."
