Update to digital all-rounder is totally new, yet feels familiar

With the look of MS Office: therefore easy to use

Orgadata is unpacking the latest version 12 of its software. After all, LogiKal is used daily by window manufacturers, door manufacturers and facade builders to plan and produce products: from design through estimation, quotation, engineering and work preparation to intelligent machine control. The update of this digital all-rounder brings a lot of news in terms of functionality and visual representation, yet it immediately feels like familiar territory to the user. Nothing but praise from the market for the developers.

In Logikal 12, the latest version of this digital all-rounder, everything has become even clearer. This is already evident on the home page.

"We are pleased that we will soon be able to offer our customers the best LogiKal ever," Bernd Hillbrands, CEO of Orgadata, says very enthusiastically about version 12 of the program for windows, doors and facades. The design and calculation software, so valued in the market, immediately takes on totally new dimensions. For the CEO, this update is equivalent to "the new LogiKal.

Customers also seem to share this expectation: "When we showed our new development in preview at trade shows, visitors were highly impressed and we received only positive feedback," Hillbrands continues. "So why is this version of Logikal so special? Well, we completely redesigned the software. The project center as the heart of the program is new and 3D visualizations were added when entering elements. The operating concept was also optimized. And, there is much more."

The look of MS Office

One aspect immediately stands out, specifically the image the user is presented with. "Visually and in terms of operating concept, Logikal 12 resembles MS Office in order to make navigation as simple and clear as possible. After all, users are already familiar with the way those programs work. This is obviously a big advantage. As a result, while the look and feel of the software may be completely new, it still seems familiar territory. Users will immediately feel 'at home'," explains Paul Thyssen of Orgadata.

"So not much will change: for the user, everything will only be even faster and more intuitive. All the different functionalities can also be found immediately in this new working environment. Whoever was able to work with version 11 will also quickly get to grips with Logikal 12. The logic behind both versions is the same, even if it looks different now. Moreover, we do not leave users to their own devices and support them with a series of webinars to make getting started even easier."

Orgadata specialists are looking forward to the user interface, where everything will soon be even clearer. The program has become more modern and in many cases more convenient. Different functions are often linked with a single click, allowing the user to navigate through the software even faster and significantly reducing the number of clicks. This is ensured by the so-called "Ribbons," symbols that recur in all places and group and arrange various commands according to tasks.

At trade shows, Orgadata already received positive feedback on the new version of Logikal, for example also at Polyclose.

The simplicity is already evident on the home page, where users can very quickly reach frequently used functions and menus. In the future, for example, they will be able to directly query calculation data or adjust defaults. Under the "News" button on the home page, one can also find all the news related to Logikal 12 at a glance, including the dates on which Orgadata is participating in trade fairs as well as the calendar of training courses and webinars.

Following trends

LogiKal 12 responds to several trends. For example, working with multiple screens immediately becomes very easy. The Multi-Window function in LogiKal allows users to work at different places in a given project simultaneously, for example, or to work in parallel in multiple construction projects. In addition, the new LogiKal creates more space on the screens: Dimensions and positions of the work fields can be adjusted by a user to his or her needs with a single click, allowing the actual workspace on the screen to be arranged in an orderly fashion.

Foundations for the future

These and many other innovations will support users in their daily activities with LogiKal 12. Important foundations have also been laid for the future: "We have developed LogiKal 12 so extensively because we then have room for further developments at later times. We will thus be able to develop many things for use in applications where people work with multiple layers, for example in shutters, blinds or screens, multi-layer elements and much more," CEO Bernd Hillbrands concludes with a nod to the future.
