In 2021, P C Henderson celebrated its 100th anniversary. Instead of looking back on 100 years of dedication and innovation in sliding and folding door hardware and track systems, Business Unit Manager Netherlands Rene van den Biggelaar likes to look ahead. "Following the motto 'Henderson makes the connection', we want to focus even more than before on cooperation. Both with dealers, processors and private customers," he says. "In addition to comprehensive advice and (project) support, fast delivery from stock is essential for this. We are also putting more and more effort into customization."
"Features that P C Henderson has long been known for are an extensive product range, high quality, solidity and reliability. In addition, we distinguish ourselves through extensive knowledge and service," said Van den Biggelaar. "Thanks to our own sales office in the Netherlands and a large stock warehouse, we can provide customers with fast and comprehensive service. As an organization, we are loyal and transparent. We support both dealers, processors and individuals to specify the best product for their application. To provide the best possible interpretation of this, we like to come to the table at an early project stage."
Van den Biggelaar notices that, in addition to the standard products, there is an increasing need for customization. For example, an existing sliding door system is currently being adapted on a project-specific basis, with different sizes and patterns.
"For the next 100 years, we want to expand our services in this area even further," he says. "For this, we actively seek cooperation with the market. What do customers need? And how can Henderson support them in this? This often leads to surprising initiatives."
As an example, he mentions the miniature wooden folding walls recently developed for a dealer. "Thanks to these folding walls, the dealer can make our products and their application possibilities even more visible to his customers. Following the same ambition, a steel folding wall will also soon be installed at our location in Bladel, which all our customers will be able to use."
"We are happy to support dealers in setting up their stores. We also offer maximum support on the shop floor," Van den Biggelaar said.
"For example, when new products are assembled for the first time. On our website, dealers and processors will find numerous calculation programs with which they can easily and quickly put together our products and on the basis of which they can advise customers even better. BIM models of most products are available. In addition, we are constantly developing our products. Last year, for example, we expanded our bowls and handles range with even more models and color finishes. Early next year we will also introduce our updated and very powerful Husky sliding door system for interior doors, which can carry even larger door weights of up to 120 kilograms and guarantees even better, smoother and quieter running. We are also introducing an improved electric sliding door system based on magnetic fields, which can be very easily installed and controlled via an app. With this we offer our customers and their end users even more simplicity and convenience, without sacrificing the familiar high quality and long service life one would expect from Henderson."
