Successful introduction of new hinge and hardware lines

Strong focus on future-proof hardware at HoutPro+ 2025

Participation in HoutPro+ 2025 brought resounding success to S2 hardware (part of the Nauta Group). In addition to a number of existing products, the producer of high-quality (customized) solutions showed various novelties that perfectly meet the contemporary and future needs of the woodworking carpentry industry, door manufacturers, façade builders and hardware stores in the Netherlands and Belgium. The innovations on display were therefore enthusiastically received by the large number of visitors who were able to find their way to the S2 stand. Sales manager Jeffrey Luttenberg looks back on a successful event.

As S2 had promised in advance, there was plenty to experience at booth 6340. In addition to its distinctive total approach, the Deventer company focused on various existing products, including multi-point locks for single and double doors, window fittings and the OptiMaxx adjustable hinge, the solution for swelling or shrinking doors. However, the leading roles were given to various new specialties, which are invariably developed for and with the end processor. Such as the fiberglass-reinforced low-relief sills for wooden frames, suitable for both inward and outward opening doors and sliding doors. A KOMO-certified invention which, thanks to its excellent thermal properties, ensures a comfortable indoor climate and can be composed and ordered step-by-step online via the configurator, also introduced during the trade fair.

Hinges for now and tomorrow

While the above-mentioned products were already announced and explained in detail by Luttenberg in Profile 05-2025, the official introduction of two other novelties only took place during the fair itself. “As a follow-up to the existing 5-button hinge line with a maximum load of 120 kilograms, we presented at HoutPro+ a new series of 3-button slide bearing hinges with a load capacity of up to 160 kilograms,” says Luttenberg.

“In doing so, we are purposefully anticipating the rapidly changing market. Doors and windows are getting heavier and thicker, not in the
lastly because of the increasing need for triple glazing. This requires hinges that can handle more. Equipped with a new type of bearing, this future-proof and SKG***-certified solution is also available in two versions, namely 89x89x3
millimeter and 89x102x3 millimeter.”

Adjustable hardware line

A second feat that S2 made public during HoutPro+ is the development of a new line of door hardware. “Our current door hardware is distinguished by its sleek design and chic appearance,” Luttenberg explained. “However, there was a growing demand from the market for an adjustable core pull disc. The final result is this new hardware line with an adjustable space of 5/6 millimeters, which brings together two worlds via high-quality design and practical adjustability. In addition, the SKG***-certified and standardized according to NEN-EN179 series is available in different PC sizes and versions.”

S2 on paper

HoutPro+ 2025 also provided a fitting stage for S2 hardware to announce its latest marketing communications initiative. “During the fair, we proudly launched the S2 magazine, the stylish and inspiring glossy that highlights the full scope of our company. For example, in this magazine we will regularly give you a look behind the scenes of our R&D department and you will read about our innovations in the field of hardware, the company history and our experienced team. In short, something for everyone.”
