New sliding system Schüco ASE 80 LC on display for the first time

From January 15 to 17, hundreds of exhibitors from dozens of countries will once again gather in Flanders Expo Ghent for the biennial Polyclose trade fair, the largest event in the Benelux region in the area of window, door, sun protection, façade and access technology. Window and door manufacturer Schüco is sure to be one of the big eye-catchers there, with some very striking novelties. These include the Belgian premiere of the brand new sliding window platform Schüco ASE 60/80, a stylish combination of design, comfort and German top quality.

Schüco ASE 60/80: Design, comfort and quality

Schüco is known for its particularly elegant sliding systems with slim profiles and high-quality hardware. The modular and scalable profile system can be implemented in almost all possible opening types, including corner solutions and automated variants. The design is ultramodern. Everything is aimed at letting in as much light as possible without sacrificing energy efficiency and comfort. With this new system, sash weights of up to 600 kilograms (automated) and sash heights and widths of up to 3.5 meters are possible. This perfectly highlights the main quality of this system: the way in which large and at the same time highly transparent sliding elements can be realized. At Polyclose, Schüco will show the ASE 80 LC - where LC stands for "Lean Construction" - this is the newest member of this family, where in addition to the above, additional focus has been placed on production and costs.

For maximum transparency, one can opt for a filigree hook range of only 40 mm. In addition, it is possible to integrate SmartStop and SmartClose modules, which automatically gently brake and close the sash. In terms of security, the ASE 80 LC also has a lot to offer, with a burglary resistance of up to class 2.

Facid: a new way to clad facades

In addition to the ASE 80 LC, Schüco is presenting several other interesting novelties at Polyclose. One of them is FACID. In renovations or new construction, it is often desirable to shield the building from climatic influences with textiles, fitted with awnings or screens. With almost unlimited design freedom, a high degree of flexibility and proven Schüco quality, FACID preserves maximum visibility from inside to outside while providing optimum protection from sun and rain. The textile is available in different colors and digital prints can be made on it so that it can become a real communication tool. Both the design and the communication applied to it can be changed quickly and flexibly, without affecting the building itself. FACID can thus be adapted very efficiently to changed circumstances or requirements which, in today's era of circular construction, contributes positively to the life cycle of the building. Moreover, the elements are highly recyclable, prefabricated and easy to install.

Seamless combination of facades, sliding doors and windows

Finally, Schüco highlights the integration of the facade system FWS 35PD and FWS 60 CV. Perfectly transparent architecture requires large areas of glass combined with pure, narrow profile systems. This gap between aesthetics and narrow construction requirements could not be completely bridged until the facade Schüco FWS 35 PD, with its low view width of 35 mm, was developed. At Polyclose, Schüco is showing the integration of the FWS 35 PD with the transparent sliding system ASE 67 PD and its latest Panorama Design window AWS 75 PD. The result is a thermally highly insulated aluminum construction with a seamless transition from facade system over sliding system to the window systems. This virtually profile-free transparency, summarized by Schüco under the fitting description "seamless. A visit to the Schüco booth is therefore definitely worthwhile!
