It is not only very secure by SKG2 and the police mark but also very user-friendly. Opening, closing or putting into ventilation position takes place with only light pressure. User-friendliness and proven safety through certification is what drives MACO to offer this solution for the wood, aluminum and plastic market.
The Parallel Distance Sliding System, or PAS for short from MACO RAIL SYSTEMS, can be seen (among other things) as a fixed window with a sliding window (Diagram A). The sliding window can be opened with user-friendly movement and thus comes into a parallel position to the other window and can be slid open or put into ventilation position. The PAS can serve as a patio door, to gain access to the outside or can allow the user to enjoy maximum window ventilation in the safe ventilation position.
The technology behind the clever construction of the PAS, for the window elements weighing up to 200 kg, lies, among other things, in the clever scissor construction. This achieves harmonious and silent closing and opening of the window. Operating errors are prevented by the innovative design of the scissor and running mechanism.
The damping around the scissors has also been further developed and provides the necessary safety and comfort. An important feature detail is the integrated elevator mechanism on the rear runner. The built-in springs in this mechanism ease the opening process by putting tension on the mechanism. When closing the window, the stored force is released again and used to tighten the window.
Ventilation is the key word these days. While ventilation is always needed to prevent mold, airflow is also important to prevent corona. By using 30 mm locking plates that are SKG/IKOB tested and SKG2 certified, airflow is not only pleasant but also safe. Even in absence, as SKG2 offers security. Moreover, an unwanted visitor will not be triggered, as the ventilation position is not visible from outside.
