Aesthetic, innovative, energy-efficient; these are three important concepts within our contemporary architecture. aluplast GmbH specializes in the development and production of plastic profiles, which are used by window manufacturers worldwide for the realization of frames, windows, doors and sliding doors. Among other things, the German manufacturer's technologies provide very good insulation values up to passive house level and excellent burglar resistance. The extensive range includes the IDEAL 7000 NL and IDEAL 8000 NL for the Dutch market. The company recently introduced aludec, a new surface with the look and feel of powder-coated aluminum.
Family company aluplast, headquartered in Karlsruhe and founded in 1982, develops and produces plastic profiles for manufacturers, who process them into frames, windows, doors and sliding doors according to the German company's regulations. Its success stems from a combination of several aspects. On the one hand, aluplast takes into account the challenges of local architecture and design trends. On the other hand, the systems also comply with the highest technical regulations and safety standards.
For example, aluplast's range includes the IDEAL 7000 NL and IDEAL 8000 NL frame systems, which are perfectly tailored to the challenges and requirements of Dutch architecture and building styles. These systems excel in aesthetics and design, but also deliver top performance in terms of insulation and durability. They are of course equipped with a stopper so that they can be mounted in set frames.
"The IDEAL 8000 NL is a center seal system with triple seal, equipped with 'safetec inside' as standard. As a third seal, the hard center lip provides increased insulation and also prevents the sash from being lifted quickly. Also, the hard center lip ensures that the hardware is not accessible to burglars and the hardware sits in a dry environment, so moisture and salt air do not affect the hardware," explains marketing director Karsten Ackermann.
"Our IDEAL 7000 NL is a stopper sealing system. With its 15° slant and unique bevel, this system is perfectly tailored to market needs and offers the frame manufacturer every opportunity to create the best windows for his customers. Glass with a thickness of 24 mm and 36 mm can be integrated without problems."
The company also continues to develop further in terms of colors and surfaces. For example, 2018 saw the introduction of the new surface "woodec," a barely distinguishable wood-look film. This year, the range was expanded to include "aludec," which not only looks like powder-coated aluminum, but also feels like it. A new grain structure makes the surfaces scratch-resistant. "Lightly abrasive cleaning agents therefore do not cause any damage. The PVDF coating makes them resistant to chemicals and very easy to maintain. Water and a mild detergent are sufficient."
"These surfaces are equipped with the 'cool colors' or 'cool colors plus' technology. This ensures that they absorb less heat, even with very dark colors. The advantage for window manufacturers is that they can offer their own customers profiles with a high-quality surface that are also easy to process," Ackermann concludes. "These environmentally friendly alternatives to wood and aluminum windows can be used for both interior and exterior applications. The combination of woodec and aludec provides resource-saving plastic window systems with a wood or aluminum look."
