Perfect custom-made screens

Family company Interhor Horsystemen has acquired a unique position in the insect screening market. Since 1998, the specialist has been producing all possible variants of professional window and door screens for the trade. Maud van Neer of Interhor Horsystemen gives us an exclusive look behind the scenes at their own production site. in Linne, Limburg.

Close-Up Front Copying

"Thirty years ago, my father saw a gap in the market and decided to focus on the production of insect screens," Maud begins enthusiastically. "Back then, the possibilities in terms of insect protection were still limited, given that only one type of frame was used in construction. That is different today with materials such as wood, plastic, aluminum and steel. Reason enough to enter into cooperation at an early stage (since 2002) with Neher Insektenschutz, Germany's largest manufacturer of insect protection and accessories, and to translate that to the expanded Dutch market. That cooperation has grown to such an extent that we are now seen as the Dutch manufacturer of Neher systems."

Custom
Interhor's premise has not changed in all these years. "We make the screens with the idea that they do not compromise the quality and sealing of the sashes and frames. With the screen installed, windows and doors will always continue to close without problems. There are no consequences for PKM hardware and rubber sealing (energy conservation), thanks to the limited size and low thickness of the attachment used to place the screen in the frame. Every screen is unique. We supply only custom-made products from our automated and strictly controlled production facility, ranging from a window screen or window roller screen to a swing screen door, swing screen door, sliding screen door or pleated screen door. In turn, the specialty retailer can offer a complete product to the customer."

Uncommon models
In addition to applications for standard window frames, Interhor Horsystemen has specialized in the production of model screens such as round, sloping and bar screens. Curved screen doors have also become an integral part of the 'Specials' range.  The demand for this specific insect barrier has increased tremendously in recent years. Producing this very specific insect barrier requires a lot of knowledge and especially time, but the end result is always well worth it.

Project-based
Small or large quantities, it's all up to Interhor. Maud: "Whether it is a single unit or dozens at a time, we focus on a perfectly fitting screen, also on a project basis. For example, a few years ago we fitted over 200 homes with five screens each for a housing project in Almere. Because of the uncommon window frames, we had to adapt the standard profile and the method of attachment ourselves. Incidentally, we measured and assembled this project together with the customer. Because that is also one of the possibilities at the request of the trade. Especially for "specials" and projects, this is the rule rather than the exception. In general, with the standard profiles from Neher Insektenschutz we can meet the majority of model variants. The aluminum profile is characterized by a slim appearance and is feather light. We supply the screens in a number of standard colors, but can powder-coat the screen in any RAL color upon request."

Mesh
The Neher profiles are delivered to Interhor in long lengths and cut to size in the profile processing line, bent if necessary and assembled at a mitre to the requested hormodel. All that remains is to choose a type of mesh. In this the choice is vast, both in terms of color and in terms of light and air permeability. Neher's Transpatec, for example, has a brilliant outward view and up to 140% better air permeability than standard fiberglass insect netting. With Transpatec, the end customer keeps the view to the outside and the light in, enjoys fresh air in the house and that without annoying insects in the house.

In addition to insect protection, Interhor also produces light shaft grilles for cellar hole sealing and even interior blinds in the form of a luxury pleated blind with mounting profile. This blinds are very easy to attach to the inside of a tilt/turn window via a magnetic tape. In short, are you looking for a particularly beautiful and top quality product? Feel free to contact Interhor Horsystemen in Linne for perfect custom-made mosquito nets. Made in Holland.
