Spanish multinational presents high-quality innovations

Cortizo, international market leader in aluminum and plastic systems for architecture, again surprises with some high-quality innovations. This time, in addition to the COR 70 Evolution, a frame system with visible sash, it is about the View Crystal Fit Plus: a robust, elegant and technically advanced balustrade system.

The COR 70 Evolution with visible wing is a new aesthetic option for the Spanish multinational's renowned COR 70 Evolution, which reduces production time compared to traditional systems. To this end, the system, which eliminates the need to install a central gasket, uses pre-assembled gaskets in the profiles and corner connectors, streamlining mass production. It also features tubular wings that allow the installation of directly attached hinges, simplifying assembly.

Excellent thermal performance

In terms of performance, this new solution has a Uw transmittance value of 0.80 W/m²K, enhanced by a glazing capacity of up to 58 mm and 35 mm polyamides. This thermal performance can be further enhanced by adding additional HI (high insulation) gaskets in the frame. In addition, this COR 70 Evolution Visible Sash is a good option for environments exposed to noise, as it has an insulation capacity of up to 43 dB. These properties are further supported by the results obtained on AEV test benches, where it achieved the Class 4 rating for air permeability, Class E1500 for waterproofing and Class C5 for wind resistance. In terms of accessibility, the series has a 20 mm threshold for mobility-impaired individuals, a feature echoed throughout the Cor 70 Evolution range. All in all, this makes the COR 70 Evolution with visible sash a frame system that excels in both durability, insulation and aesthetics. 

In addition to this new option with visible wings, the multinational also markets a slim, semi-concealed solution that facilitates the supply of natural light thanks to sightlines of 78.4 mm all around and a central locking of 74.8 mm.

View Crystal Fit Plus

Another innovation from Cortizo is the View Crystal Fit Plus balustrade. With this new system, the Spanish multinational expands its balustrade range. This is a further development of the View Crystal Plus system and comes to the market with lighter profiles. This new system is based on a U-shaped aluminum profile that holds the glass at the bottom and includes adjustable shims that allow the angle of inclination of the glass to be accurately adjusted with a slight lateral shift; this ensures optimal alignment. In addition, it offers two solutions for handrails: flat or rounded.

Versatile application

In addition to its excellent aesthetics, the View Crystal Fit Plus guarantees the highest safety standards, making it an ideal alternative for all types of buildings: from residential or commercial properties to concert halls and sports venues. This is supported by load tests, where it achieved values of up to 3 kN/m, allowing it to be installed in types A, B, C, D and E according to the requirements of Eurocode 1.

In terms of installation options, Cortizo's new balustrade, with a height of up to 1100 mm, can be installed on a slab, on a flat slab and on a slab edge flush with the slab or floor; an option that offers an endless view without visual obstructions. As for glazing, a total of twelve different combinations are possible of 10, 8 or 6 mm glass, connected by up to four 0.38 mm polyvinyl butyrals.
