The construction world is subject to major changes. As a result of e.g. BIM, BENG, changing building processes and the introduction of the new Building Quality Assurance Act, very high performance must be achieved and demonstrated. BUVA's plastic PreSet meets these requirements and ensures that the building world is ready for the future.
The plastic PreSet contains a comprehensive selection of hardware for plastic windows and doors. From door hinges and door locks to cylinders, door hinges and tilt-and-turn hardware. The products, together with the IsoStone® lower sills, ventilation grilles and toughened glass windows, displayed at Polyclose in one window arrangement and two door arrangements. The products stand out not only for their high quality, long life and premium appearance, but also for their easy assembly.
Distinctive in the PreSet is the AV3 multiple automatic locking system, which protects the door from unwanted access without additional after-locking. In addition, the PreSet features PADK window hardware with parallel adjustment to the outside, which guarantees natural and safe ventilation all around. Also of great interest are the BUVA Atlas Poly Ultra door hinges for inward and outward opening doors, with a load capacity of up to 160 kg and a wide adjustment range. The door hinges are SKG** approved and can be used on both the left and right.
Thanks to BUVA's plastic PreSet, clients are assured of one manufacturer, one supplier and one guarantee party for their hardware, sills, ventilation grilles and hard-glass windows. Upon request, all products can be delivered just-in-time and just-in-place in accordance with BUVA's LogiTime concept, where all products are neatly measured, sorted and unpackaged in convenient roll containers. This not only enables frame manufacturers to make substantial savings on their lead times and inventories, but also to minimize their waste streams.
At Polyclose, BUVA will also introduce a new range of aluminum profiles, allowing the glass of the sidelights to extend onto the IsoStone® lower sill. The window manufacturer can easily lock the glazing with the standard glazing beads from his frame system. For this development, a number of familiar techniques were combined and optimized, such as the invisible fixing and end caps with hidden water drainage. A slim and minimalist design was chosen. Thanks to the direct glazing on the IsoStone® lower sills, frame manufacturers can benefit from significant time, material and cost savings.
In recent years, BUVA has developed the connection of the IsoStone® lower sills on the frame have been further improved. As a result, frame manufacturers can now extend the seal in the stop on the frame through the studs. Specially developed end pieces complete the frame seal. Draining water is routed below the sill, greatly reducing the risk of moisture penetration at these points. This reduces the risk of structural damage and increases the service life of the structural frame.
On outward-turning stolp doors, the rubber under the door is often deformed by the mounted striker plate on the lower lintel. BUVA responds to this with a newly developed striker plate with locking bowl whose set screws do not protrude above the striker plate. The striker plate is fully inserted in the IsoStone® lower lintel, which allows the rubber under the door to keep its shape as well as keeping wind and water out.
A technical innovation at Polyclose is the extra low IsoStone® lower sill (84x30mm) for flat profile series, which is particularly useful on galleries, balconies and other projects where the lower sill cannot be inserted into the ground.
A final novelty concerns the new SKG** ECO cylinder® from BUVA, which features a lead-free housing and a very interesting value for money.
The plastic PreSet is part of the 'securely sealed windows and doors' category within the BUVA homecare systems, which also focus on a healthy indoor climate. In combination with the homecare systems, BUVA offers product and performance warranty on the complete systems.
