At Polyclose - early this year, so well before Lockdown - it was already clear that KUFA's new renovation profile (the RenoS9000) was going to be not only an eye-opener but also a success. The reactions were positive. And now, as we speak, well into the fall, that premise appears to have come true. The first pilot will be followed up in week 42 in cooperation with PTC Kozijnen and Bouwgroep Dijkstra-Draisma. This involved 26 homes in Grootegast. The advantages of the RenoS9000 are numerous.
The faces of Henk Weber and Didier Holslag of Kufa in IJmuiden are therefore "smiling" on the stand. All the innovation efforts, based on knowledge and insights into the market, are paying off. "One of the main advantages you see especially in the fast assembly, which results in a saving in overall costs," says Didier. "After all, the existing frame remains in place. So there is less waste, there is no need for a set frame, the contractor saves on demolition time. Also, no asbestos removal is required and there is less chance of destroying the existing stucco. Above all, it makes measuring in easier. After all, the daylight size of the existing window frame is known. The window sill and window lintels also do not have to be stirred. Those remain in place." So saving time is the credo, according to the pair.
"The RenoS9000 has a high insulation value, due to the low profile of the profile. In fact, there are more air chambers," Henk said. "I think this also creates more subsidy opportunities for end users." Furthermore, the finish is easy to cut to size; the finish completely covers the old frame on the inside. "And, let's especially not forget the click system. Time is saved there, too. Speed is the credo. One can fasten the window frame faster."
Henk and Didier believe that this system actually requires less practical knowledge in terms of assembly, compared to the regular frame series. "The frame is installed in a frame that should already have been square and straight. This also makes the RenoS9000 extremely suitable for the Do-It-Yourselfer. In terms of the end user's budget, there is also an interesting financial advantage. Didier: "Because it can be installed more quickly, the installation price will be considerably lower. This actually gives clients more financial leeway to opt for something extra. For example, the Realwood foil or an HVL joint."
There is, of course, a similar benefit for the assembly companies themselves. "Because more window frames can be assembled than in the old situation of renovation, time is saved. The current scarcity of too few available fitters on the market thus becomes less acute. And, more can be produced per day. That, it seems to us, is what every installation company will call 'very interesting' to say the least." ′
