Sometimes things come together in a beautiful way and dreams come true. That certainly applies to Tom van Boxtel, who recently took charge of Best-based Eden Window Solutions. With the experience gained in both the sun protection and window frame world, Tom combines the best of both worlds in the new company. We speak to him in the position of director/co-owner.

Maximum support

"This came my way, fulfilling a long-held dream," Tom opens the conversation. "I am with both feet back in my 'old' industry and have brought with me the knowledge and experience I gained in the window frame business. Eden Window Solutions is a total supplier of screens, interior blinds, screens and shutters. Our focus is on the window frame manufacturer, whom we can support in detail with our products and knowledge. In this way we offer added value, because we understand better than anyone else what is going on with him, in production and sales. We would like the window-frame manufacturer to see itself as a partner of our products, to sell screens and shutters as real added value and to dare to take a margin on them. This is completely contrary to what we often see happen: the screens are given away with a window frame order, just to get the order. Deadly sin is that. You miss sales and you bring down a beautiful product. We actually want to help convey that added value as such to the end user."

By combining its knowledge of window frames with its knowledge of screens, screens and shutters, Eden Window Solutions can take a lot of work off the window manufacturer's hands.

"By doing so, we remove the barriers to actually getting started with these products. This is particularly interesting in the quotation phase. End users who like to get everything from a single source like it when, in addition to the window frames, they are also offered options for suitable mosquito nets, screens or shutters. I know that this is a bottleneck with many frame specialists. In such cases, we like to show what we are worth as a partner!"

Own production

The vast majority of the products Eden Window Solutions sells are made in-house. "We are part of the Alcré Group and with the exception of one screen, everything is manufactured within the group," Tom outlines. "We carry two pleated screen doors in our program, only the original Metaco® Japanese pleated screen door is manufactured outside the group."

100% operational

When asked if Eden Window Solutions is already operational, Tom replied, "Yes indeed, 100% even. We obviously accept not only customers from the window frame world, but any professional from both the window frame and shading and blinds sectors. We keep the threshold for doing business as low as possible, but within professional frameworks. There is a 'down to earth' working method here, where personal contact is always paramount."

Also present in the showroom
