Deceuninck introduces performant total offer for plastic and aluminum windows and doors

Architects and building owners often choose aluminum windows and doors for a wide variety of building projects. After all, they are strong, light and easy to maintain, but above all their fire and burglary resistance and exceptional energy efficiency due to a high level of thermal insulation are important features. With Decalu, Deceuninck recently launched a unique aluminum collection, developed according to the patented So Easy technology. These aluminum profiles offer a perfect complement to the plastic range, where this year the manufacturer introduced the new Elegant range.

Deceuninck is known worldwide as a leading producer of profiles for windows and doors with long life and high insulation value, which also require little maintenance and are 100% recyclable. Recently, the specialist introduced a new aluminum collection under the name Decalu.

"The unique concept, developed according to the patented So Easy technology, consists of a single interior frame with equal center section and slim profiles, pre-assembled seals in frame, sash and glazing bar, and integrated thermal insulation in the profiles. Since this
system consists of only 3 components, with no central middle seal, the production time per window is reduced by at least 50%," explains technical manager Eddy Moreels. "As with our plastic profiles, the drainage is hidden in the frame profile and the glass slats can be easily installed."

Performing overall offer

With this renewed aluminum range, Deceuninck offers a complete range with the same construction depth and minimum U-value for all its aluminum windows and doors. Modern construction or renovation projects integrate Decalu88 Standard with a sleek and neutral look, while the Decalu94 Retro with its rustic look is ideally suited for a rural home or a townhouse.

To imitate steel windows, the manufacturer developed the Steel and New Steel versions, and for ultramodern projects, a special ultra-slim profile was designed, hiding the aluminum frame behind the sash. Hence the name Decalu88 Hidden. The open-out system includes an integrated smoke motor, which in case of fire immediately opens the window outward to evacuate the smoke. With the Decalu163 Slide, the range also includes a lift-slide system with mono- and tri-rail system and a minimalist center post for double and triple glazing up to 400 kg. The door profiles are equipped with a patented anti-bi-metal effect in co-extrusion. Due to this technology, no permanent deformation occurs under extreme temperature variations. Flush, sliding fold and harmonica doors with the same look of the windows complete the range.

Combine aluminum and plastic without compromise

This innovative Decalu range also perfectly complements the plastic range with the new Elegant profile, presented this year. Both profile ranges have the same euro fittings groove, which gives advantages in production, stock and maintenance. 

"The biggest advantage, however, lies in the unique alignment in terms of look and feel between Elegant and Decalu. The rectangular glazing bar and the shared minimalist design make Deceuninck a one-stop-shop for both plastic and aluminum," indicates marketing manager Benelux Sarah Popelier. "To guarantee the same color for all joinery, we developed 'Smart Colours', which allows the available color coatings for aluminum (Aluroc) and plastic (Decoroc) to perfectly match each other."
